Wow, I did not know that Islam considers the saliva of dogs to be unclean! I guess the believers of Islam would really be upset if they knew how our drinking water is filtered in the US. Many people do not know that our drinking water is filtered in many ways, but the last filtering process is done with the unique tissue which is from the last four inches of the colon of pigs. Scientists are working on finding a process to make man-made tissue which will replace the pig tissue but it appears it will require many more years of research. There is also a concern that a man-made filtering tissue from other materials may not impart the sweetness that we are so used to in our drinking water.
