US President George W. Bush, who raised eyebrows with an impromptu neck massage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel last year, promised today not to repeat it.
"No back rubs," he told her with a smile at the end of a joint news conference after White House talks.
The German chancellor smiled sheepishly in response.
Ms Merkel had raised her shoulders in surprise last July at a Group of Eight summit in St Petersburg when Mr Bush, in a gesture of friendliness, approached her from behind and put his hands on her shoulders and squeezed.

This makes me think of that stupid jimmuh carter planting a big one on Madame Mau's cheek while giving her a big squeeze with the cameras rolling......she was truly horrified, being chinese and communist.
Bush clearly has sympathy for Merkel - and obviosuly vice versa: That Merkel went to Washington as her first trip to the foreign as EU Council President and G8 chairwoman was symbolism - others would have went to Brussels, Paris, maybe Moscow. Merkel chose Washington, during a time when President Bush is clearly in stress (Dem Congress, Iraq, Israel). Oh, I wish both fortune and glory! I hope Bush´s presidency will be seen in a brighter light than it looks like today.
"I can have any back rub I want!"
Why is Boehner grinning like an idiot? Just let the witch from San Fran look like an idiot all by herself and be done with it.
Clinton would have given her a front rub, and the media would have ignored it (or "celebrated" it).
Boehner : "Could've fooled me!"
Similar to the way liberals made Southeast Asia disappear, and plan on erasing Iraq from the map. Why, France made the mistake of supporting us on Iran and is practically never heard from as a result.
I got a kick out of her new "image." She rediscovered the fact that she was a Catholic by going to Mass, although she had to side step the anti-abortion protesters on her way out of her limo to get into the door of the church.
Then she goes to Capitol Hill and surrounds herself with...................children.
The irony was lost on the MSM morons.
I agree with the protestors'signs. You can't be a Catholic and pro-abortion.
Amazing the number of 'Rats who have got away with that over the years...
I know what you are saying. And as I am sure you know, God holds us all accountable, and does not allow us to get away with anything in the end.
Without the cleansing blood of Christ, no one escapes judgment.
I am sorry to say this, but I know if my heart people like Nancy Pelosi are not real Christians or Catholics - and they do not belong to Christ.
If they did, I would see a manifestation of the Holy Spirit in them (the fruits of the Spirit that Paul wrote about).
Unfortunately, I do not see any of these in her, or in Liberals in general.
The gate to Hell is wide. She and many others are taking it.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Lard Ass tries to explain to the Lord why he, as a "good Catholic", actively supported the killing of millions of God's precious children.
Same goes for F'n Kerry and Pelosi.
Time cover, Nov 7, 1994.
The new Time cover will be out this week.
It is rumored to be a full, staged picture of Nancy Pelosi with a glowing title, something called "A New Beginning" or "A Grand Moment in History."
I personally would like it to be this picture. It shows all her smugness, lust for power, megalomania, self-worship, narcissism, and contempt.
After two years of Pelosi, the 'politics of anger' will be boiling!!!
If Bush wants a little, I suggest walking the K-Damm in Berlin. Worked for me.
How do I get there??? :-)
"Amazing the number of 'Rats who have got away with that over the years..."
Hell, amazing the numer of Catholics too.

numer = number
