PRESIDENT BUSH WILL NOMINATE ZALMAY KHALILZAD -- AN AFGHAN MUSLIM CURRENTLY SERVING AS AMBASSADOR TO IRAQ -- AS THE NEW U.S. AMBASSADOR TO THE U.N., ABC NEWS IS REPORTING... DEVELOPING...
Your statements are foolish.
The task of convincing a great number of so-called Christians is still at hand.
"Because some people on FR think that all Muslims are actually terrorists and should be rounded up and either tossed out of the country or killed."
Sort of like what Coulter said:
"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity."
Holy crap! Please forward all evidence you have that this man is a member of Al Qaeda or the Taliban to the President immediately!
A grateful nation breathes a sigh of relief.
Of course not.
Family Leave Act? lol/ sarc of course
ZALMAY KHALILZAD worked for President Ronald Reagan. ZALMAY KHALILZAD is a staunch conservative. I guess with your thinking, we can call Reagan a lefty wussy????
I guess insulting my intelligence proves your point. Congrats.
Does that make him a MINO? We need a lot more of those in the Muslim world.
I'll put it this way:
Where is the outrage in the Muslim community for the terrorist acts that have been committed over the last 30 years (all by Muslims, I might add?)
Answer: It's not there.
When Christians, or males, or Blacks commit crimes, someone speaks out.
Oh really? Where is this "great number" located?
if you can back this up with concrete facts, please do.
You are adding apples and oranges, and I repeat your statements make you look foolish, prejudiced and close minded.
Another thing to consider. A Muslim student I spoke with was surprised at the number of churches in the area. He was impressed because there aren't that many Mosques in his home area. I was amazed but he said that Muslims are less religious than Westerners think. Muslims participate in customs like Ramadan but don't darken mosque doors as much as we think.
Saying someone is Muslim doesn't mean they are "religious". You have to search for the evidence.
Sure, once I take the time to catalog every famous Muslim.
You're not getting my point. So I'm done trying to make it.
Have a nice day.
Khalilzad is one of the good guys, and it will be very difficult for the Senate not to confirm him.
Ethiopia is largely "Christian," with a big Muslim minority, though.
Usually, one need merely mention the word "Muslim" on FR these days to be greeted with howls of rage and calls for incarceration.
But wait! There's a catch......Bush nominated this guy.
"Well why didn't you say so??!! Who said Muslims were dangerous?"
Too funny.
BTW, I'm not saying this guy is good or no good. Just laughing at how quickly the wind can change around here sometimes.
This is interesting. Could you please tell us when the IRA, ETA, Tamil Tigers and other terrorist groups of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s converted to Islam?
Oh, I don't think so. The rules have changed and the Senate Dems believe they now have the right to dictate appointments. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this Congress is going to be a very bumpy ride.
