Didn't Finnerty already announce that he would not be returning to Duke?

For some reason this reminds me of the thread I just read about Mugabe inviting the white farmers back.

They should also receive retroactive full ride scholarships along with some other compensation from Duke U.

They should be given every opportunity to make up the time and credits they missed- at Duke's expense. If Finnerty wants to transfer, Duke should pay for it, at least for the two semesters they were kept from completing their education. As an alumnus, I feel we owe them that and so much more.

You know normally I am on the side of the accuser. But in this case, it was FISHY from the very beginning. I am hopeful that the boys will have their reputations restored and the stripper and the DA will be punished.

Does the jurisdiction have "recall" elections, by petitions?
Duke alumni must be a pretty well heeled bunch. Ought to be fighting mad, that the local jurisdiction LE did this on flimsy evidence. Ought to be all out to get Nifong out, by any method available under the law.

Until the stipper is in jail and Nifong is disbarred, these boys will NEVER get their lives back. The two steps above will go a very long way.

Liberals are soooo sanctimonious about the Salem Witch Trials, which they wrongly attribute to conservatives. But liberals themselves pursue witch trials regularly.

At first I just thought Nifong was a man doing his job. Then I just thought he was a cheesey opportunist maximizing his political opportunities. Then I thought the was a criminal abusing his prosecutorial powers.
Now I think Nifong is actually insane in the Jim Garrison mode...
