Well, I wouldn't read that as much praise for either one of those two. I have respect for all the judges on the Supreme Court as far as their legal abilities. It's just that the leftist ones apply a philosophy that's outside the true confines of the law.
I'll do a little more digging. I've read commentators saying the Guiliani favors strict constructionists. I'm not sure I've actually seen where he said that.
To: You Dirty Rats
Oh, I think he's a credible vice presidential candidate.
And if he's sane, that's what he's really running for.

Duncan is a solid conservative. He's got my support, and my vote. He's by far better than McCain or Guilliani.

Eye yi yi, all the pissing and moaning about lack of name recognition, have these whiners never heard of the Internet, email campaigns.
Not to mention mags like Human Events and National Review.
The grassroots will coalesce and form the base as they usually do if not derailed by numbnutz RINOS at the RNC.

Aren't you busy enough on the Rudy Love Fest threads to allow conservatives some peace from your trolling on this one?
To: streetpreacher
trolling on this one?
Thats really funny. Rudy backers are relatively respectful to even a long-shot like Hunter. Cuz we know eventually we have to get behind whoever the GOP candidate is. Whereas the Rudy haters truly become foaming at the mouth unhinged on any given Rudy threads.

we Republicans just don't do that.
We've also been very good at losing for long periods in our history.
Besides, most of us are less Republicans than we are Conservative Americans. If the GOP turned liberal, I wouldn't be a Republican anymore. Parties come and go, but principals stay the same.

Your post reads like a propaganda hit piece and it's totally wrong and I think you know it.
Duncan Hunter, awarded the Keeper of the Flame Award 2006
(snip) In late September, Hunter was the guest of honor at a black-tie dinner in a hall at Washington's Union Station, where the hawkish defense group the Center for Security Policy presented him with its annual "Keeper of the Flame" award. Among those lauding him at the Center for Security Policy banquet that evening was Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, who said the Pentagon relies on Hunter's "wisdom, his leadership, his experience and his 'get it done' attitude.' "It is something when he comes into your office like a whirling dervish and starts discussing a subject first at the national level and then down at the microlevel, and then leaves you pieces of metal on your desk that you can hardly lift and has explained exactly where it goes, what it's for, why it should be there and then wants to know why it isn't. And God bless him for it."
Rumsfeld also said the U.S. is more secure because of Hunter. "He's never let the troops down, and as a result of his leadership and his hard work, our nation is a safer place today," Rumsfeld told the dinner gathering that included Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"The war for the Free World will be the most important issue in 2008 and a guy like Duncan Hunter who has a serious grasp on what is at stake will be in an advantageous position come primary season," said Frank Gaffney, who also writes a weekly column for the conservative Washington Times newspaper. http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2006/11/05/news/top_stories/21_51_5611_4_06.txt

That should tell you something right there about the electibility of your guy, then. Rudy is a very polarizing figure--a liberal Republican who is hated by the base.
You're blind if you don't see that he can't win and as the nominee, he would tear the GOP apart and a viable 3rd Party candidate would appear as if by magic...
