Another tragedy. Politically, it shows that electing liberal women to the U.S. Senate (2 in WA State) and the governorship (WA state), who favor gun control, won't stop senseless shootings.

The school's test score rating is a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10! (10 being best) That's terrible!

The inner-city school one of my relatives attended is a 6!

Foss HS isn't necessarily in the worst part of Tacoma, but it's maybe only a strong 5-iron fairway shot from the Hilltop district, which is.

Uh, Bill, it would be difficult to have a shooting without a gun being involved.

Coulda been a crossbow. Or a ballista

I would want to meet a high school student that could shoot someone with a Ballista!

Wish you would have let me know about the fruitcake tossing event this weekend, I would have taken the time off.

Wait a minute!
This could not have possibly happened.
After all, the Tacoma high school is an official "Gun Free Zone."

They've identified the victim:

The Pierce County medical examiner identified the victim as 17-year-old Samnang Kok.

Having released name of victim; wondering why they have not released name of perp. Too young? Not yet inclined? Legal issue?

The article linked above says "Police identified the suspect as a fellow student, 18-year-old Douglas Chanthabouly, who is expected to appear in court Thursday."

It also shows pictures of the victim and perp.

Brian Suits was talking about this case tonight... apparently the surnames of both the perp and the victim are of Laotian origin. Whether this means anything or not is somewhat imponderable, but it does cast a somewhat different light than some "ordinary" gangsta-type shooting.

If nothing else, its a data point worth note.

Well, guessed the 'ring' was familiar. . .but had no clue as to what nationality. . .Laotian. . .obviously some issues here. . .and temper gone awry. . .

The names of juveniles can not be released, by law.
