Great article. And I agree: this clamor for moral relativism drives me crazy. Evil is evil, and normal people can recognize it and applaud its destruction with no problem at all.

Instead of asking what might be an appropriate, objective public gesture to address the outrageousness of the crimes themselves, we are taught to ask instead: Could I personally hang Saddam?

No. I don't know how to tie all the knots, or where the lever to the thingie is that makes the trapdoor open.

But I coulda shot him!

They could have had eyewitness interviews of Saddams' murders for years and barely touched the surface of all the people he butchered. They found over 300,000 dead in mass graves. In a just world, they should have thrown the bastard in one of those gigantic plastic shredders he used, filled it with pig blood, and held a public lottery on who got to turn the machine on. Put in on public TV.

The Libs are against Saddam's execution becuse they fear full discolure of their actual agenda.

Where were the bleeding hearts when Saddam was torturing and killing his people?

My Mom was telling me about that show being on tonight. She said she was going to tape it. Something about Hitler & Saddam - Butt-buddies - a Dark Secret Revealed?

I was kind of curious concerning the sort of revisionist history that program contained.

I could do it - but I would have pushed for piano wire instead of rope - and for lowering him gently, so as to make the experience more memorable for him.

If they ever get the chance to put the job of hanging Bin-Laden up for bidding, I suspect the line of Americans wanting the job would extend across several state boundaries.

"History Channel"

I watched the same program. Did you catch that bit right near the end where Juan Cole asserted that U.N. inspectors found and destroyed ALL!!! of Hussein's bio and chem wmds right after the first gulf war? Yes, that's right all of them. What a laugh. How in the world does he know that? Then why did Hussein kick the inspectors out in 1998? A good program ruined by a bunch of horse-twaddle from some leftist.

It was mostly a good program, but was ruined by the unintentional or intentional anti-Bush admin commentary by leftist professor Juan Cole near the end. He claimed that U.N. inspectors had found and destroyed all of Hussein's chem and bio wmds right after the first gulf war. Victor Davis Hanson also provided commentary in the program, but there was no rebuttal to Cole's factless assertion.

Other than that I thought the program was informative.

In the program it was clearly stated that Saddam killed persons personally and was responsible for thousands of deaths. It also stated he would go down in the annals of history as a murderous POS equal to Hitler and Stalin.

The trial he was given only used a portion of these killed people to get him hanged, I can understand the angst of the family's of people who werent brought up in the trial at their relatives not being recognised, but it doesnt change the fact that this monster now lies in a hole rotting.

Where were the bleeding hearts when Saddam was torturing and killing his people?

They were worrying about IMPORTANT things, like why women can't join the club that hosts the Masters' Golf Tournament.

I hope a lot of people watched that program. Apparently there are plenty of people who believe that Hussein NEVER!! had any chem or bio wmds. That program should have opened their eyes.
