Byrd is wrong. They are not calling for doing away with earmarks. What is he talking about? The President is calling for fewer earmarks so the executive branch can do the earmarking. I don't think so!

Ah...but that is when Byrd would say that it is Pres. Bush thats signs the bills...so it is HIS fault.

Instead of a new "Office of Public Integrity"..having to do with ethical lapses of the Senate.

How about we have a group of Americans, like us...that look at the pork spending and let them know what WE agree with.

Cornyn said today one earmark was a ridiculous amount for ONE light signal in New York....do the people of New York know that they are all paying for a light signal at one intersection that 99% of them will never drive through.

That is the same state's citizens...like Cornyn said..why would one of his constituents here in Texas (Me) pay for a light signal in New York???
