ARTICLE SNIPPET: "An extremist Muslim group has had its conference booking cancelled by a Sydney council after previously breaching an agreement not to incite hatred, racism and discrimination.
The group, Hizb ut-Tahrir has been linked to the London bombings and banned by several European and Middle Eastern countries, according to News Limited reports.
Hizb ut-Tahrir had booked the Bankstown Town Hall in Sydney's south-west for the Khilafa conference on January 27 under the name Risala, a Bankstown Council spokeswoman said.
"The program is not being done by Risala, but by a group called Hizb ut-Tahrir," she said."
