The Clinton White House's beleaguered director of personnel security, Craig Livingstone, announced his resignation yesterday, saying he took responsibility for the unjustified collection of FBI files on hundreds of Republicans. But he denied any malign intent.
....
The testimony of Livingstone and four others about how the White House personnel security office improperly collected hundreds of confidential FBI background files in 1993-1994 was an embarrassing occasion for the White House, which has endured three weeks of building criticism over the affair. Livingstone and his aide, Anthony B. Marceca, were portrayed as incompetent, inexperienced and wholly unsuited to their sensitive work.
But at the end of nine hours of testimony, the Democrats appeared for the moment to have staved off Republican attempts to portray the FBI files episode as a Clinton administration effort to dig up political dirt on GOP luminaries such as former White House spokesman Marlin Fitzwater and former secretary of state James A. Baker III. Livingstone and others continued to portray it instead as a bureaucratic disaster that arose from an outdated Secret Service list.

That is amusing because here in GA it has been in the high seventies at least once a week... even into early December. Not every day, mind you.
But, growing up in the North, I am reminded that children used to walk to school in a foot of snow on the ground when the temperature was approaching 0 degrees fahrenheit! Imagine that.
Now, kids are driven the four blocks to school in Mommy's SUV.
We had a special f'ing counsel to find out who in D.C. knew Joe Wilson bragged about sleeping with a non-spying CIA employee and yet we still do not know who hired the guy who was sifting through raw FBI files on former White House employees???? This still pisses me off to this day.
Craig who?
Check his bank records and see who cashed his check where the memo line reads, "Payment For White House Job".
Didn't they, eventually, come out with the story that it had to have been Vince Foster?
I remember thinking, "Yeah, that's the only guy who can't contradict you."
This topic came to mind as I read today about the great new "ethics" agenda of the 'Rat Congress..... my mind could not help recalling some of the ethical (and legal) depravities of the Demagogues in recent years, plus the total unwillingness of most in Congress to truly investigate and act..... not to mention the servile MSM which only cares about serving up DNC talking points, etc.
Yes, I keep waiting for some enterprising reporter(s) to track down Livingstone and other Clintonista scumbags and see if any of them are more willing to talk now that they've been out in the cold for a number of years. Probably none of them ever will talk, out of self-preservation and/or continued devotion to the Clintons, but it would be great if someone could finally break open more of Filegate, Chinagate, etc. etc.
I had not heard that explaination, but it sounds plausible. Blame the dead guy.
Who is that? Tom who?
Lots of good stuff here:

I know.....the Clintons have dirt on EVERYONE, yet the Dems still LOVE them.
Struck a nerve with you, huh?
When you bring up the ethical problems of the Clintons, the RINO's get all antsy. They think being NICE to the enemy makes them be NICE to us. They also think voters hate negative campaigning. The voters do not. Which is why the Dems love to use scandals against Republicans but complain when we use scandals against them.
That's why we lose elections. We don't fight like the Dems.
LOL! Lantos is such an idiot, but he had a classic line with 'ole Craigy boy..
Good points, the RINOs do get all hot and bothered at the thought of confronting any Demagogues on their "culture of corruption" -- to RINOs the only way to get along with the Demagogues and the MSM is to cave in with servile pseudo-civility and kiss Hillary's ugly butt.
