I would like to propose that when the time rolls around to hand out awards for 2006 and from here on out...that the Military FReeper Of The Year award be re-named to the "68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub Military FReeper Of The Year Award"

Tonk...IMHO...exemplifies going above and beyond in serving his country. A Vietnam Vet who took it upon himself to join the USCG Aux after 9/11 and dedicate himself to doing his small part for the nation...when he could have just set back and let us younger folks do it.

That's called leading from the front.

Tonk is very passionate about the military and those that would criticize it...and is one of the biggest fans of those in uniform that you can find.

I hope that the leaders here at FR take this proposal into serious consideration as a fitting and lasting tribute to a great FReeper.
