In short, the second, pragmatic, altruistic approach has failed. ...
The reason for this failure is that every one of the ideas we used to evaluate our options is wrong. In every case, the opposite of todays conventional wisdom is true.
A strong offense does not create new enemies; it defeats existing foes. Were this not so, we would be fighting German and Japanese suicide bombers today, while North Koreaundefeated by Americawould be peaceful, prosperous, and free.
Poverty is not the root cause of wars. If it were, poor Mexicans would be attacking America, not begging for jobs at Wal-Mart.
Democracy is not a route to freedomnot for the Greeks who voted to kill Socrates, nor for the Romans who acclaimed Caesar, nor for the Germans who elected Hitler.
A culture of slavery and suicide is not equal to a culture of freedom and prosperitynot for those who value life.
The world is not a flux of contradictions, in which principles do not work. If it were, gravity would not hold, vaccinations would not work, and one would not have a right to ones life.
Being moral does not mean sacrificing for others. It means accepting the American principle of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happinessand living for ones own sake.
History is clear: All-out force against fanatical killers is both practical and moral. It led us to our two most important foreign policy successesthe defeats of Germany and Japan in 1945and to the permanent peace with those nations that we take for granted today.

Hey MSM: Who's losing the war on terror in Somalia? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Osama Bin Laden is/was a billionaire.
Yassir Arafat was a billionaire.
The terrorist financers are definitely NOT poor.
But all those terrorists supporters lost their jobs. /s
Hey MSM: Who's losing the war on terror in Somalia?Interesting, isn't it? That we all assume that the MSM is upset when Islamofacists lose. I wonder what gave us that idea?
What would Patton do?
AMEN!!!
After 9/11, I realized that this would be a war of annihilation, similar to World War II. Meaning we would have to defeat Al Qaeda and its allies utterly, because their ideology was so antithetical to ours. I think that's still true.
Thanks for posting. Bump for later read.
Yes, I think you're right. It seems almost a daily event that MSM people are losing their jobs. Sniff, sniff.
First, he would send in Team A for the general work.
Then he would send in Team B for further processing.
Then he would send in Team C for final pulverization.
Last, Team D to smooth everything out.
Mission completed, next mission in 72 hours after some R&R.
The Democratsthe party that won World War II by dropping two atomic bombshave an opportunity to regain a position of moral stature before the American people.
Expect ZERO action from the enemy within.
I like what Patton would do. Now get it done.
