LCR runs under the same umbrella as Main Street and we have LCRs in the RNC. Don't let the different names fool you. They are one in the same. It was posted right in their websites until Michelle Maulkin ran this.

In regards to your counter questions.

I think Stevens and Ginsburg will try to wait until 2009 to retire with the hope that President Obama will name their replacements.

I agree that there is no consenus to ban abortion. However, there is strong consenus to restrict abortion with parental consent (which Mitt supports), 24 hour waiting periods, and banning tax payer funded abortions which is currently federal law. I want to know Mitt's stand on the abortion issue. You can probe a how candidate feels about the abortion by asking him/her about the Hyde Amendement, which bars federal funded abortions. If a politican supports repealing the Hyde Amendement, then it means he/she supports abortion anytime, anywhere, any reason. That attitude hurts the RATS with independents in purple and red states and especially in GOP primaries.

Keeping the 2nd Amendement alive and well contributes to homeland security.

I'm voting for Frank Keating.

If Frank Keating runs I'm voting for him enthusiastically. If he doesn't, then it's Romney or Brownback for me, and in that scenario I'm leaning towards Romney.

But I plan on being independent for atleast the next 11 months.

Thanks.. did not know that.. can't stand any of them. I too, contribute individually to folks that I admire,. The RNC gets empty return envelopes from me, postage paid.
After Lincoln Chafee, stick a fork in 'em, they're done.

2nd ammendment rules!
I just don't think the two SJC Justices have the physical capablity of surviving. He's almost 86 and she's got cancer, but as Rush said of poor Senator Johnson, they'll keep him on a respirator to retain the seat,

Gov. Mitt Romney will file paperwork forming a presidential exploratory committee on Wednesday, a delay of 24 hours out of respect for the funeral services scheduled Tuesday for former President Gerald R. Ford, according to a top aide familiar with his plans.

How respectful of him, deeming not to do the impossible:

Most federal government offices and courts will be closed Tuesday for a national day of mourning in honor of President Ford. Only those offices and installations deemed necessary for national security or defense or other essential public business will be open.

There will be no regular mail delivery or retail services at post offices. Express Mail deliveries will be made Tuesday. Regular retail and delivery service will resume Wednesday.

Most U.S. financial markets, including the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq Stock Market and the American Stock Exchange, will not conduct trading operations Tuesday.

A link providing evidence for your claim that to get the endorsement of the LCR, a candidate needs to "contract" to vote for the North American Union (whatever that would even mean).

Some people on this board think every Republican from north of the Mason Dixon Line is a RINO. We cannot win by just appealing to our base. George Allen made that pretty clear.

No, I cannot provide a link showing that. I can provide a conglomerate of links showing how the endorsements work and issues that are supported by the funding sources. But I cannot provide a link.

Prepare for anti-Mormon stories to start appearing in the media really soon.

And prepare for those stories to be loudly echoed by the usual suspects around here.

"How respectful of him, deeming not to do the impossible:"

Good point! How Romney! No place open to file, so he claims he's not filing out of respect.

Somehow I suspect that requires more "interpretation" of the facts than Ginsberg does of the Constitution in a Supreme Court opinion.
