The following photos may not necessarily be the best photos or the most important but they are chosen because they appeal to me and hopefully to you as well. It maybe because of the content, the expression on the face(s) or just an unusual photo.
Originally I was going to attach Part 2 of these photos to tonight's dose (part one were 28th December 2006) but I realised that there were far too many photos to do that and would not be fair to dial up users so I am doing this as a separate thread and also including part one so that all the photos are together.
As with the normal Day in the Life Thread I would request that photos are not posted until the all clear so that we have a chronology series of photos.
Enjoy your bonus visit to Sanity Island

White House photo by David Bohrer which in view of the recent death of President Ford have even more meaning and shows how important personal relationships were to President Ford that even to today those that served under him have remained close.
In particular this paragraph has even more meaning today than it did back in June.
"I'm not aware of any other administration in which the President, the First Lady, Cabinet officers, and White House staff have maintained such close personal ties, or held gatherings of this kind for so many years. The plain truth is that all of us rightly believe that we were part of something very special. We served a nation that was facing many serious challenges at home and abroad. We found ourselves in the middle of one of the hardest-fought presidential campaigns in history. And we worked for a man who had inherited a damaged office and who swiftly and successfully restored authority, dignity, and respect to the presidency. "
