How long till we stop writing "'06" on our checks, Mr. Speakah? How many more checks will have the wrong year on them? Not sure if Howie is live today; I have a hunch it's a best of, or a fill-in. We'll find out at 3.

...prob. going into Brookline tonight to catch a little trivia with Morgan White Jr (Coolidge Corner Clubhouse). At least Morgan's site says he'll be there...will listen to Howie on way

Isn't this a replay of a couple weeks ago?
I missed it, so this won't be a problem.

WVMT shoehorns in Paul Harvey around 4pm, and tries to shove in Jim Hightower about 5:30, and her Perkiness 15 minutes later. I have to change the station, or turn the radio off for either of those two.
Levin's not local, but I generally can tune in 770 this time of year by 6pm.

Was that Frank Zappa that they were playing coming into this break?
The guitar sure sounded like it.

oops, actually haven't quite been listening--dubbing some stuff from cass. onto my harddrive, and on the phone with
people!
btw on Levin: for those in RI, he's now on WHJJ AM 920
6-8 pm. Howie btw used to be on WPRO and WHJJ at previous
times but he hasn't had a RI affiliate for awhile now--
but WRKO and WCRN should come in fine down there
To: raccoonradio
I was just using the WMAL stream. I actually live over by Peoria Illinois.

I meant to type Paul Harvey around 4:20...but yes, Hightower. I complained about him a few years back. They may have added "Does not necessarily reflect the views...".
And I can't think why CBS would want to remind me to avoid their local tv station by having Couric on, either.
Moonves must still think that wooing the puff and fake news junkies is the way to go. At least to salvage his job after contracting her for what, $15M/year for how many years?
To: Calvin Locke
I think CBS was doing those mini-spots for 40 years+ ,It's just tradition.
They peobably can't believe that their listeners wouldn't want to hear jewels of wisdom from the NEWSLORDS!

Then he's not an eligible pick for the Death Pool.
One time, some woman tried to sleaze in a pick whose death was announced on the news immediately before or during the
show, unbeknown to Howie and his staff.
