SADDAM Hussein has been buried in the dead of night in his native village as shocking new footage of his hanging emerged.
Saddam's body was flown by US military helicopter to his home city of Tikrit in northern Iraq and, as agreed with US and Iraqi officials, buried in haste at nearby Awja in a 3am ceremony.
But even as he was laid to rest, new video footage of his hanging emerged, showing his body swinging from the gallows and Shiite officials taunting him to the very end.
Sectarian passions that have pushed Iraq toward civil war since US troops overthrew Saddam in 2003 could be further inflamed by the film.
"Go to hell!" one official yelled at the former president.
The jerky footage, apparently shot on a mobile phone by a guard or one of about 20 official observers at the dawn hanging, showed people in the execution chamber chanting the name of Shiite cleric and militia leader Moqtada al-Sadr and Saddam smiling back, saying: "Is this what you call manhood?"
After he falls through the trap, abruptly cut off in his recitation of the Muslim profession of faith, someone in the room cries "The tyrant has fallen!" and the film shows the 69-year-old former strongman swinging on the rope, his eyes open and his neck twisted at a 90-degree angle to his right.

I reviewed the video several times and made following observations:
a)it's not shocking (hehe)
b)it's apparently only one person shouting Monkey al-Sadr's
name.
c)it's indeed a jerky cellphone video

but who indeed shouted "go to hell"? they initially said saddam said it, which was like the pot calling the kettle black. weren't his feet being SCORCHED even as he neared the noose?

What is their obsession with Saddam, anyway? It's like nobody who lifted a foot or a hand against him could do any right in the eyes of the drivebys, unless it was from an airplane loaded with smart bombs, like in '98. That they liked.

Given the horrific things he did to others, and the crimes he is guilty of, I am amazed he faced death so defiantly.
Obviously he had no clue he could ever be held accountable. Goes to show how hardened people can become in their sins.
Those Shiities should be forced to take sensitivity training classes for their conduct!

Saddam was self centered. It was all about him. He had nerve
and had long been an overlord. It is no surprise he was defiant and certain he was right.
OMG, "taunted!". Where's the ACLU when you need them?? Are the liberals going to call for an investigation and heads to roll if a coverup is found?

Thanks for the link. Surprisingly I was able to watch it with my husbands encouragement.
This is the same guy that took his young sons to a prison to watch the prisoners being tortured and made them execute some. This man was truely evil and yet the MSM sounds as though they mourn his dying.
at least they had the decency to keep his head panty-free.
