" Where is repentance, acknowledgement of need, or confession of personal sin?'

Where does it say that is needed? This is a protestant church, after all. Works not necessary -- futile, actually.

Not exactly.

Works is proof of faith.

Boy, you sure don't like Protestants, do you? Works ARE necessary. Jesus tells us we need faith and works, but works don't earn you a seat in heaven. Only FAITH in Jesus Christ can do that. Get some facts under your belt before you say such things.

Futile? Well, then, Jesus must not have ever called upon us to love on another, to help each other, to care for the sick and elderly, to pray for the lost, to protect the children and raise them correctly... all of those things being futile.

Let's all just sit on our hands, and do so in the name of Christ.

The Protestant theologian Richard Niebuhr nailed the rick warrens of the world as far back as 1937 when he observed that they preach a gospel that says "a God without wrath brought men without sin into a kingdom without judgment through the ministrations of a Christ without a cross."

None of this is about "works righteousness." You're barking up the wrong tree with that part of your comment.
