We know Saddam was evil to the end, ladyL, but I wouldn't be so quick to judge James Brown. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion.
But there is much, both good and bad, about Mr. Brown unknown to us. His music, with the funky beat, brought joy to many. It probably accompanied numerous sins as well. He was generous to, and loved by, family and friends. That is not false testimony.
Consider, on the other hand, those who act holy yet are hypocrites.
