Yes...I found that out about broccoli my first summer of planting a garden..I have a hard time with the cabbage family...they just don't do well for me.

BUT, I can grow hugh, wonderful yellow squash (summer squash)...

My neighbors got tired of squash and tomatoes...I had to send my kids with their wagons to give them away I had so much...LOL

I grew up on fresh yellow squash every summer... my grandmother grew them in her Texas garden... and the tomato's (ummmm)...

Have you ever tried spaghetti squash?  I understand it's as easy to grow as yellow squash or zucchini.  It's definitely fun to cook with.  Just boil it up or fix it in the microwave then scrape out the innards.  Then treat the resulting pile-o-stuff just like really al dente spaghetti.
