My last year was personally frustrating and very lonely. I hope it changes for the new year.

I will be taking a nap later on this afternoon because I will be onstage, performing in a musical quintet at a sold out restaurant. We go on at 9:30 PM and are contracted to play until..........??????? {LOL}
Just another year like any other,will not be any better and the populace is only fooling itself by falling into a drunken stupor.
I don't think I have gotten drunk on New Years since I was 21 or 22 or so. Most years, I go to bed before midnight. I think I am becoming a cranky old man before middle age. It's just a date. What if we said the New Year started in June or something, it would still just be a date. All it means to me is remembering to add the 2007 to checks, it usually takes a few weeks to remember for me.

Great photo! Sadly, here in Bangkok, Pi Mai or New Years has been abruptly cancelled by a series of seven bombings which resulted in at least two innocent's deaths. Everyone except the BBC suspects Muslim separatists. Large public celebrations at shopping malls like Central World have been banned.

This past year seems to have left a number of people (at least in my corner of the world)in a bit of upheaval. I will be rather happy to close the door on this past year as well.
It is best, however, to always look to brighter days! Keep hoping for better and taking the steps to make life richer for others....the blessings will find their way back to you. Happy New Year to you, and everyone!
