Congressman Walter Jones and State Rep. Stephen La Roque have been speaking out about Nifong's misconduct. Jones has asked the DOJ to look into whether the defendants' civil rights have been violated; LaRoque wants the state legislature to pass a law that would make it possible to bring criminal charges against prosecutors for misconduct.

I thought that was already the case. You are kidding me. No charges for misconduct at this time?
