It's mournfully quiet, isn't it? Yes, it is.
I am so pleased to see this for President Ford.
He didn't serve long....but, it was his tenure at the helm that served to heal this nation and help it recover from one of its darkest hours.
I will always be grateful.
And, I pray our former President rests in the peace in our Lord's hands.

President's plan their own funerals.
I wonder if he planned his for nightfall.
If so, I think it's a perfect time. It really sets a proper funeral mood.

That kind of stuff is best left for Irish wakes... I like funerals sad, dignified and patriotic.

I wonder if he planned his for nightfall. Doubt it. To plan for a nightfall arrival in DC he would have needed to plan the date of his death, too.

This is an interesting conversation on Fox about Ford's administration being the "incubator" for the leaders of today. It's all Ford's fault ;0)
God Bless him and his family

I thought the "Whip Inflation Now" buttons were ridiculous but compared to the GOP PR going on today they were stellar.

Children today do not even know that song. I went to Catholic school and sang that song everyday after the "Pledge". Times have changed so much.

I love the dignity and formality I'm seeing.Me too. Everything is so precise. From the half steps to the way they handle the charges for the 21 gun salute.
Hope Mrs Ford got some rest on the way to DC.
