Poland welcomes Saddam execution
Berlin, Dec 30, IRNA
The Polish government expressed support for the hanging of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, DPA reported Saturday.
Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Kowal told Polish radio that although he opposes the death penalty, he would make an exception in the case of Saddam.
Iraqis will soon forget Saddam, the Polish official said.
Saddam died by hanging around dawn after an Iraqi appeals court upheld an earlier death verdict against him for his role in the 1982 killings of Shiites.
Jaruzelski should have met the same fate.
"Iraqis will soon forget Saddam, the Polish official said."
Only if they get the next ruler[s] in the same vein [named "damsad"], so they would become indistinguishable as a blur [and even then, would damsads be hanged, too?]. Since that civilization is only capable of producing despots [rarely benevolent, more frequently malicious], the chances of Pawel Kowal being right are pretty high.
I keep reading things about the Polish that makes me think they're one of the most decent nations on earth.
Poland is just so full of good old common sense. I wish I could visit Poland.
They are and undoubtedly one of our best and most loyal allies. A brave and devoutly Christian people we need to treat well.
BTW for those that didn't know they erected a statue of Ronald Reagan in Warsaw.
I have nothing but respect for those folks and their country.
Poland has been my favorite European nation for some time now.
Bump that!!
