Guess most HS grads can still be Union Heads. To think that an idiot like this has childrens educational/economic welfare in their hands.

Tom is really short! I saw him years ago when he did Days of Thunder, part of the racing was filmed in our county.

Great story!

LOLK

My smarter brother (yes, thank you, he is an PhD astronomer) often teases his other (school teacher)brothers with this simple question.

What group enters college with the lowest SAT scores but graduate with the highest GPA?

The only division she knows about is dividing Blacks from Whites and Rich from Poor or Your Money from Your Wallet.

Just goes to show -- no matter how rich and how famous you become, those high school days will come back to haunt you.

NYC kids have no natural respect for celebrities. If they don't like a celebrity, they'll let them know.

Aw, I was just trying to be nice to her being it's the Christmas season.

That being said, I saw in a latter post she's a Dem, so the 'heck' with her.

the idiots running the NEA are commie stooges with no concept how to teach children. They are too stupid.

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Worse, they are products of this school system. They feel good about themselves, feel they are intelligent because they have degrees and an ability to criticize conservatives. And are not the least bit concerned that they have no actual skills.

See my post 150 ;-)

However you bring up a point about my teacher friend. When we used to play Trivial Pursuit (waaaaaaaaay back when) she stunk. The FDR question may stump her, but I'm sure she'd get the Roman Empire.

Here is a rather easier technique for adding two simple fractions: Remember the formula a/b + c/d = (ad+bc)/(bd). The trick is that you remember the formula by writing a/b + c/d in the usual vertical format and drawing a cross over the two fractions (so that the cross joins the a and d, and also the b and c -- that produces the numerator ad+bc). This works best for small fractions, in that the denominator bd may not be as small as the least common multiple of b and d. But it requires little work or thought to perform: just remember the cross pattern for the numerator, and multiply the denominators.

Ed. majors.

And that doesn't include HS teachers, who usually get a B.A. in their field. That's true at my university.

It works, but if you don't reduce it, you only get 1/2 credit.

easiest way for me is .33+.25=.58 which by the way is the same as 7/12.

Even though I am not a math whiz, I did stay at a Holiday Inn.

LOL -You Sir are correct. "Real" degree holders usually have ed majors pertty low in thier respect list.

Next Question for 20 points - can an Ed Major earn a PhD?
