Al-Sadr is Shia, no?
What Saddam was saying MAY have been, "Kill Al-Sadr after
I die"
He might have told his friends and former allies, that he
will give his last death order before he dies...and that
may have been it.

I thought he had given all of his papers/wills etc. to
those he had already designated. Wouldn't he already
have told those to take the Koran and give it to al-Sadr?
How would it be a secret if he spoke his words out loud?
Maybe he placed a red-card in the koran if he wanted to
give it to Al-Sadr...kinda like a warning...
well anyway, I guess at this distance anything could have
been meant....

"Good one. It does make one realize that left to their own devices, or given a push, the Muslims would devote their energies to infighting." Spot on! Saladin's only real claim to fame was that he got the Muslims to stop killing each other just long enough to kill some Christian Crusaders before resuming their favorite past time. Admittedly, no small feat.
