Rethinking Kwanzaa: Jerry Falwell says America has been duped into accepting illegitimate holiday

We hear a lot these days about a divided nation. So I began wondering this week why our nation has begun to embrace a relatively new celebration known as Kwanzaa, which is not as innocent as it appears on the surface.

Launched in 1966, Kwanzaa is celebrated for seven days, beginning Dec. 26. The weeklong festival was introduced by Ron Karenga (aka Ron Everett), a black author and Marxist devotee, who has a very dubious history. Mr. Karenga's Marxist roots should be a warning signal right off the bat, but there's more to be concerned about here.

In 1969, on the campus of UCLA, Mr. Karenga led a student group known as United Slaves, which, along with students in the equally radical Black Panthers (the rivals of United Slaves), actually attended classes with loaded weapons.

David Horowitz, in his book "Radical Son," noted that Black Panther John Higgins was then "murdered – along with Al 'Bunchy' Carter – on the UCLA campus by members of Ron Karenga's organization." Later, female members of the United Slaves said they were tortured by United Slaves members, all at Mr. Karenga's command.

Members of the organization have since reported being beaten and tortured by Mr. Karenga and his minions. He actually was convicted of felonious assault and false imprisonment in 1971 and sentenced to prison. At his trial, a psychiatrist's report declared: "This man now represents a picture which can be considered both paranoid and schizophrenic with hallucinations and elusions, inappropriate affect, disorganization and impaired contact with the environment."

When he was released from prison, Mr. Karenga had earned his doctorate degree and soon was appointed to the Black Studies Department at California State University, Long Beach.

I'll never cease to be amazed at the foolish gullibility of modern education officials.

Our nation, I believe, has also been naïve in accepting Kwanzaa without examining its roots and its founder. In our modern quest to embrace multiculturalism and diversity at all costs, I believe we are being duped by the founder of Kwanzaa.

I've watched several news reports on Kwanzaa in recent days and none of them have mentioned the dark history of its founder or its Marxist pedigree. The reports have simply noted that Kwanzaa is a weeklong celebration rooted in African traditions, and even that is untrue.

Mr. Karenga himself admits that Kwanzaa is not fundamentally African, telling the Washington Post in 1978, "People think it's African, but it's not."

In a recent column, Ann Coulter, never one to mince words, said of Kwanzaa: "[It] is a lunatic blend of schmaltzy '60s rhetoric, black racism and Marxism." She added, "When Karenga was asked to distinguish Kawaida, the philosophy underlying Kwanzaa, from 'classical Marxism,' he essentially explained that under Kawaida, we also hate whites."

Listen, I love learning about other cultures. At Liberty University, where I am the chancellor, this year we welcomed students from 83 nations among our 10,000-plus resident students. Further, nearly 14 percent of our student body is African-American. I truly enjoy meeting these students, hearing their stories and celebrating their life goals. It is fascinating to learn about others' customs and ways of life.

But I cannot accept Kwanzaa as a legitimate American holiday. It is corrupt and wholly anti-American. There is danger in it.

I join with Ann Coulter in celebrating Galatians 3:28, which notes that the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ is available to all, no matter their race, color, background or heritage. It says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. …" (NKJV).

Sorry, but since you DID, after all, mention “PC” in your post, you are simply the latest recipient of a newly discovered definition of the term, to wit:

Political Correctness:

”A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

By spreading this definition around, perhaps we can employ one of the more effective methods of deflating and defeating the fools who practice and promote it: RIDICULE.

Unless stopped – and soon – PC will DESTROY Western Civilization -- if it hasn’t already.

Red, black, green and gold - - the colors from the Rastafarian religion, the woolen hats in the four Ethiopian colors, the shrines in those colors found in their yards and pictures of Haile Selassie... (A move by the Left to marginalize Ethiopian Jews?)

What you will not hear from these perpetual pro-marijuana masturbaters is that this “ganga” thing is related to the anti-caucasian and racist Rasafarian religion in Jamaica.

Their ideology is that white men are devils. Marcus Garvey in the early 1900's said an African King would become the black messiah. Ras Tafari was crowned King Haile Selassie of Ethiopia and proclaimed to be their messiah in 1930.

According to the Rastafarian pagans, Ras Tafari did not die in 1975, but went to another dimension. He is called “Jah” and considered to be a god. A pagan perversion of Christian theology.

Of course all of this lunacy is centered around smoking the ganga weed.

That is partly why these feminized males will defend pot smoking, drug abuse and deviant use of their anatomy and are not safe to have around children...

Without touching on their use of MJ, the rastaferians ALSO pointed Haile being the last "Lion of Judah". It is noteworthy that there's a Biblical prophecy that when the last LOJ goes down, Ethiopia turns into a desert.
And, when Haile went down, the Northern core of the country was turned into a desert by its new Communist masters.

Another source of amazement is the concept of those who hold candlelight vigils (yet another example of religious ceremony) for heinous murderers about to be executed, a large number of whom think it is acceptable to murder an unborn child without the benefit of a trial. Is the “right to life” of one responsible for much murder and mayhem more important than that of a truly innocent unborn child?

Perhaps we should call capital punishment “post-natal abortion” and identify abortion as a “pre-natal death sentence” or “pre-natal summary execution.”

Another example is Michael Jackson. With the undying support of his “fans” (or fanatics) in the face of his more than questionable activities concerning the abuse of children, they still hold him up as an idol. Jackson, both in his family life as a child and his adult life, is a modern extension of pedagogical pagan pedophilia of previous ages in ancient civilizations. Look at the macabre pagan elements of Jackson's video, Thriller. Michael Jackson now resides in Bahrain... coincidence?

Michael Jackson had Nation of Islam thugs as bodyguards escorting him after court appearances through the throngs of frenzied supporters. Is Jackson their new pharaoh? Nation of Islam is a militant racist cult. Their leaders, Louis Farrakhan (the numerologist) and Kahlid Abdul Mohammed, are known Jew haters. They also support many illogical and socially subversive Leftist political activities intent on tearing down the structures of Modern Western Civilization and capitalism. Why did they shower Tookie Williams with so much adoration?

There is a clear connection between modern neo-paganism and ancient paganism related to Islamic conflict with the Judaic roots of Christendom. A focus on how this is manifested in a modern sense only requires a look at pop-culture icons in entertainment, sports “heroes,” and attempts by the Left to use a pseudo-Christian sense of pagan moralistic idolatry to demonize political opposition. I present to you the attack on U.S. Senator Rick Santorum for his comments on sodomy as a useful example. A Sacred Cow, a golden calf.

Is it coincidence that many domestic social issues are being driven by cultic Leftist advocacy of unnatural, phantasmagoric perversity?

And how are they being forced on everyone?

Through the schools, and through "the culture."

The proponents of this bogus "holiday" have taken full advantage of "the marketplace of ideas" and used it to promulgate their lies.

And now YOU come along, and tell us to shut up, and NOT oppose them?

What country do YOU think this is?

By the way, Falwell was far to kind to that bastard. Among his other, um, "endeavors", he had a nasty practice of tying up women who offended him (easy enough to offend a paranoid schizophrenic), and then applying various "truth methods" such as pressure hoses, vices, and hot soldering irons to them. (Soldering irons, of course, go in the mouth -- as does pressurized water, mixed with detergent.)

Do a google search for two words: karenga soldering. You'll feel ill.
