Saddam Video of Body after Hanging (New 1-8-07)

The Drop Broke Saddam's neck killing him instantly. At the executions following the Nuremberg Trials others were not so lucky.

THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY--AND OF ALL TIME, PART TWO

"..The executions, in a brightly lighted prison gymnasium where three looming black wooden gallows had been erected, were witnessed by a handful of Allied military officers and eight journalists, one of whom, Kingsbury Smith of International News Service, wrote a famous newspaper article, "The Execution of Nazi War Criminals, 16 October 1946," based on his eyewitness observations. Although Smith discreetly omitted mentioning it, the experienced Army hangman, Master Sgt. John C. Woods, botched the executions. A number of the hanged Nazis died, not quickly from a broken neck as intended, but agonizingly from slow strangulation. Ribbentrop and Sauckel each took 14 minutes to choke to death, while Keitel, whose death was the most painful, struggled for 24 minutes at the end of the rope before expiring..."

"Pragmatism" is usually another word for shortsightedness, in my opinion. To put it another way, the short term gains that might be gained by the compromise of core principles is usually negated by the much worse long term consequences of that compromise. The evidence? The long term erosion of our constitutional form of government.

Why don't you explain to us all how putting Harry and Nancy in charge helps stave off the erosion of the Constitution?

Beyond that, it is hard for me not to label folks who regularly attack conservatives as liberals.

What's hard for you is to comprehend that when people crizitize YOU they aren't criticizing "conservatives." In fact, most of us here ARE conseratives.

Just not ones you and Alan et al. could convince to vote for him.

Oh, so Ronald Reagan was "shortsighted"; was he? He was a pragmatist and gave a whole speech about being one. I suggest that you find it and get someone to read it to you and to also explain it to you.

Because too many people don't bother to show up and vote in primaries, we all need to drive home to the sheeple the importance of voting in the primaries and dumping the RINO's .. but, when we don't dump them, I cannot bring myself to vote other than R and we are all about to get a lesson in why.

Moderates are willing to compromise on their values.

No, they are not; that is something you need to convince yourself of to feel morally superior when people don't agree with you.

We have values; and one of our basic values is the good of this country and our children and grandchildren.

And I've got NO value that's more important than that. If you can turn the country over to the liberals, that's on you, not us.

After the depression, the social programs were suppose to stop. What happened?

You cannot possibly be serious; if you hate it now, just wait until the liberals you helped elect get done: they're going to reinstate everything everything we've accomplished; maybe it wasn't FAST enough for you, but you can kiss the small changes good bye.

But, hey, you'll have something to bitch about, right?

The Iraqi government has lied to us on several occasions. Why would anyone trust them today? Once again, when there is a verified photo and video, I will be convinced. The rumor of no hood is bullcrap. Prove it.

Why don't you explain to us all how putting Harry and Nancy in charge helps stave off the erosion of the Constitution?

One of the foremost tools of liberal argumentation is to try and attribute opinions to others that are not really their own. Why do you do it? Fact is, I worked at least as hard as anyone here to try and retain Republican control of Congress. In fact, my primary congressional candidate won, even though he endured as stiff a challenge from the Dems and their toadies in the press as anybody in the country. We also won every single statewide race for the first time since Herbert Hoover.

What's hard for you is to comprehend that when people crizitize YOU they aren't criticizing "conservatives." In fact, most of us here ARE conseratives. Just not ones you and Alan et al. could convince to vote for him.

But I thought you said you would vote for ANYBODY with an "R" behind their name?

If you send the conservatives packing, you'll be stuck with Nancys and Harrys forever. Moderate democrats would vote for them.
You'll be working over time to pay the democrats bases health care, and it won't stop there. The democrat base will always want more free handouts, no matter what. That's what they live for. Scrounging is what democrats do.
If you don't stand for something, you don't stand for anything.

OK, maybe I wasn't clear. I said that our President would have VERIFIED that he was executed before releasing a statement. Obviously that would include some form of independent evidence, such as US government witnesses or photographic evidence.

I am totally confident that it happened because of this. Yes, the Iraqi government is sometimes unreliable, but at the same time, our government wouldn't be treating it as fact if it was just based on only the word of the Iraqi government.

I will; if Alan ever runs and wins in N.C., let me know.
