Saddam Video of Body after Hanging (New 1-8-07)

The Drop Broke Saddam's neck killing him instantly. At the executions following the Nuremberg Trials others were not so lucky.

THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY--AND OF ALL TIME, PART TWO

"..The executions, in a brightly lighted prison gymnasium where three looming black wooden gallows had been erected, were witnessed by a handful of Allied military officers and eight journalists, one of whom, Kingsbury Smith of International News Service, wrote a famous newspaper article, "The Execution of Nazi War Criminals, 16 October 1946," based on his eyewitness observations. Although Smith discreetly omitted mentioning it, the experienced Army hangman, Master Sgt. John C. Woods, botched the executions. A number of the hanged Nazis died, not quickly from a broken neck as intended, but agonizingly from slow strangulation. Ribbentrop and Sauckel each took 14 minutes to choke to death, while Keitel, whose death was the most painful, struggled for 24 minutes at the end of the rope before expiring..."

You're a hoot. Who do you think you're kidding? Fact is, it is the "moderate" (read liberal) Republicans who sell out the party regularly. No campaign that involves a conservative Republican is complete without the requisite "Republicans for __________ (insert Dem candidates name)." Oh, and the full page newspaper ads from those "moderates" in support of the the Dem nominee. Some of the egregious quotes from these RINOs are so juicy they even end up in the Dem's own campaign ads.

One other thing: If the "moderates" in the GOP had their preferred foreign policy team in place in recent years, Saddam Hussein would still be drawing breath. Shoot, he'd still be in power.

I've been a CONSERVATIVE and a REPUBLCIAN probably longer than you've been alive.

You obviously grossly underestimate how long I have been alive, and I bless you for that.

But I was a conservative when being a conservative meant not wanting the government in MY bedroom or MY marriage or MY house or MY religion.............not trying to impose some extremist views on me and the rest of the world.

I am not just a conservative -- I am a libertarian. I rather doubt you could out-do me in wanting to keep the government out of my affairs. Nevertheless, I think that you have not properly assessed the situation.

Perhaps you should look around to see just who is USING this web site.

I have tried to do exactly that in my own unorganized, unaligned way. And I think that you have miscalculated the way things have evolved.

The tunnel vision brand of conservatives who have sucked the life out of this forum don't have a party of their own, so they've tried to take over this one -- and you see where they got us.

Here you are conceding that you are not a conservative. You are also asserting that conservatives have sucked the life out of a conservative forum. As I say, I am as much and probably more libertarian as conservative. But I respect that this forum was founded to promote conservative principles and the Republican Party inasmuch as it is the best vehicle to promote those principles. As to "where this has got us," I think that you have not learned the right lessons from the "recent unpleasantness." The results from the last election cannot fairly be laid at the door of conservatives, for a variety of reasons.

As I said, the GOP will simply now move further to the center and the "real, true" conservatives looking down their noses at the rest of us all these years will be left wandering in the desert again.

I don't profess to know what the GOP will do, but I don't know how it could move to the center when the right owns the primaries. As to wandering in the desert, well, better people than I have done that! And just what will the GOP be doing while the conservatives are wandering in the desert? Wandering about the same desert, I daresay.

And, quite frankly, I don't give a damn if you're sickened or not; this place is kind of sickening lately.

Well, I didn't tell you that I was sickened to get a rise out of you or for any reason other than to state that I was sickened. You and I are not so far apart on the issues that we should be sickened at each other. But here we are.

Your crowd just thinks conservatism in something you can take for granted when you want to be in power. It's been a rough marriage. You can't stand us, yet you can't have power without us!

Most of us think it's you "real, true" conservatives who can't stand us in the mushy middle.

And yes, we can have power without you and most likely will next time; we're tired of you holding this party hostage.

Wise up and stop insulting us like the former President did in his posthumus interviews on NBC tonight!!!

HAHAHAHAH..........you bought the MSM pap..........

There is absolutely no excuse for your rudeness. You reveal much about your true nature in your posts. I will not have any problem abliging with your request to stop posting to you. Lest anyone think I sent you anything harassing, I will now post publicly what I said in the FReepmail.

"Title: Seriously...

I was asking an honest question.

We do agree on a lot of things, Howlin. You know that I voted straight GOP this last election and that I do not hate Bush.

I will admit that I at times get frustrated when posters (such as you and others) lump all of us "hardliners" in together and sometimes I do lose my cool. I'm sorry for that.

For what it's worth, I feel no animosity towards you. "

Right!! If they have the inhumanity to show a brave American soldier as the sniper prepares to kill him, and refuse to show the photos of this animal getting his just desserts, that'll be the last straw.

Cooper mentioned he's getting requests .. so I suspect he wouldn't have even mentioned it in his annoyingly breathless way unless they were getting deluged. I'm there.

BTW, I'm told that Saddam swore at the Iraq national security advisor Rubaei before the hanging. Funny, I remember one of his lawyers saying today that Saddam would go out with a smile.

Here you are conceding that you are not a conservative.

Let me make this perfectly clear to you: I am a conservative, just not the wrist slitting type -- you know, the ones how put their own personal agenda against what's best for this country.

You all need to learn the art of doing THE POSSIBLE.

Thank you for putting matters into the clearest possible terms.

In 1964 the nation chose Lyndon Baines Johnson and a constrained "war" in Vietnam designed to waste blood and treasure and to ultimately lose, politically; as well as LBJ's "War On Poverty" which would scatter six trillion to the idle and fail to bring anyone higher.

And when LBJ beat Barry Goldwater in a Vesuvian lava flow I complained to my U.S. History teacher whereupon Mr. Holmes advised me that politics is the art of the possible and history never goes back.

As Marcus Aurelius might advise when the barbarians were chatting over cocktails with Hillary and Obama, "concern yourself with that which is within your power."

We do not need anyone on a white charger and certainly no one whose moral aura is as blinding as that of Kim Jong Il on his birthday day before yesterday.

As we worked feverishly on a campaign to beat one of the liberal pantheon a few years back, in came John Dendahl the man who just unsuccessfully challenged Bill Richardson (and had his communications director beaten savagely with a tire iron for his effort) who raised his fist cheerfully exhorting us, "Win!"

There is nothing without victory; the first duty of the politician is to win.

Victory is our candidate.

At the blackest hour of the London Blitz or the Battle of the Bulge the main concern was not philosophical purity but victory.

Somehow a bunch of fools stayed home because Mark Foley sent graphic text messages to a precocious teen--a bunch of fools who forgot that now Carl Levin gets to make sure there's no missile defense installation in Poland and Japan when Kim Jong Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad decide to act out knowing their puppetmaster/protectors in Moscow and Beijing have got their backs.

The fools who forgot that now the taxes go up and the economy goes down, the military is starved and the tyranny of the courts grows like jungle canopy.

No, not purity, VICTORY.

Then why didn't you stop posting to me when I asked you to three months ago.

And I don't want unsolicited Freepmail, even from YOU, who seems so damn stuck on yourself.

CNN reported earlier that Saddam had a look of fear on his face

Can't have anybody with differing opinions, can we?
