The Drop Broke Saddam's neck killing him instantly. At the executions following the Nuremberg Trials others were not so lucky.

A number of the hanged Nazis died, not quickly from a broken neck as intended, but agonizingly from slow strangulation. Ribbentrop and Sauckel each took 14 minutes to choke to death, while Keitel, whose death was the most painful, struggled for 24 minutes at the end of the rope before expiring..."
It just drives them nuts how poorly the nay sayers are doing in the polls with their candidates. Be kind and patient. It will all work out. Voters are pretty smart, no matter what anyone says. I believe in our system.
MSNBC continues to show pictures and video of Saddam as if he just was chosen Man of The Year.

Here in Ohio, for example, the Country Club GOP(CCG) (re: Bob Ney) has no guiding philosophy except that of enjoying the privileges and spoils of office. This is typical of well-established, local GOP groups across the land. Patronage, and little else, is their base.
Another example: The House was winning with goal-to-go on immigration enforcement. What did they (Hastert) do? He ordered Congress to suspend all efforts to prod the Senate, and, instead, announced Representatives go on to a Hillary-type "listening tour."
You were, at that moment, suckered...the result of this move by Hastert was transparently foreseen...Amnesty.
Hastert's move was a brilliant 'bate-and-switch' strategy---it worked!

Of course, I've said that many times before, just as you've said more or less the same exact thing as I'm replying to many, many times. Howlin, we've had this conversation so many times that it does seem rather silly.
In any event, Saddam is dead. The world is much better off, even if the Eurotrash and the anti-Americans on DU don't realize it. It's a shame that those of us who realize the danger we face don't have more support. I get the kids and teenagers. They're almost always rebelious. But any adult who refuses to admit that there is a real threat in the world today by the name of islamofascism is an idiot.
Good thing he wasn't send to The Hague. How long did the International Criminal Court dither over Miloslovich? He died in prison during the conduct of the trial it dragged on so long. Plus there would have been no capital punishment. Saddam's gone and dead and good riddance! He and Qusay and Uday can party in hell with Satan!

I can sort of understand Pennsylvania Deutsch -- but believe it or not it's easier for me to understand Yiddish!
I learned German from an Austrian, so I'm about as far from the Plattdeutsch/Low German dialects as anybody can be on the language map. She tried to teach us a little Plattdeutsch, and I've read some of it in Grimm's Tales, but it just doesn't compute for me.
Here's a new twist to the "discussion:"
You going to find fewer and fewer "Republicans" willing to listen to your drivel for the next two years.
If they're like me, they're sick of it and are more intersted in DOING something other than waiting to see what the NEXT thing you find to whine about will be.
