I was all set to argue with you until I realized that I had misread. I thought you said you chose McCain over JULIE ANDREWS.

not for judges. the 2nd amendment really hasn't been a SC issue. look at the SC justices that have upheld the death penalty, voted for le, voted for the govt in the terror cases, they're Thomas, Scalia, Rehnquist, Alito, etc...

Look at the ones that haven't-Souter, Ginsburg, Stevens, Kennedy, Breyer

If a judge votes against terrorists, upholds the death penalty, doesn't let criminals off on procedural technicalities, etc... there's a very good chance he'd reverse Roe and be with the conservatives on other issues as well. very good.

This is really part of his full name, and it should play well with the hanging of the OTHER Saddam Hussein!

that formula - got us a popular vote LOSS in 2000, and a one state ELECTORAL win in 2004.

That formula won an electoral victory (the kind that counts) against an incumbent Vice President in 2000, and in 2004, conservatives held their noses and voted for someone they now knew was a big-government President because of the national security and social conservative issues.

Frankly, after the beating W took all year long in 2004 in the media without ever fighting back, the fact that he won at all is amazing. If he would have fought back tenaciously against the slander of himself and the military, I believe the American people would have supported him and the election wouldn't have been close.

Rudy's handlers have apparently concluded that for Julie-annie to have any credibility, he has to deny every liberal thing he's ever said or done, and act like he's now in sync with, and actually likes, conservatives.

Sounds like a performance fit for "Da Ali G Show." Rudy apparently aspires to be the first "Borat candidate." Deluded Rudy must think he's running for president of Kazakhstan.

Just as Borat told Rolling Stone---Rudy thinks he can tell those "dumb Christians" anything---and we'll sit-up like dutiful trained dogs, and jump all over his candidacy.

Better think again Rudolfo. Ain't gonna happen.

Rudy and company had better stop the elite snobbery, and quit looking down on conservatives--the very people that make or break an election.

The elitist, unmitigated contempt Rudy and his handlers demonstrate for conservative voters, is beyond the pale. As if conservatives will believe Rudy's "sudden conversion" timed to fit his political datebook.

Rudy's extreme makeover looks more ridiculous everyday.

If someone told me before 9/11 that Rudy Giuliani, a person who endorsed Mario Cuomo and almost endorsed Bill Clinton, will have a serious shot at winning Republican presidential primaries, I would call him crazy.

Actually, Rudy would be a great candidate for Democrats - social liberal, fiscal moderate, law-and-order type.

if I had to choose between JulieAnnie and McCain, it would be McCain.

You do not know the crazy one. He is the last person I would ever vote for, defeatocrat or Republican. I might not vote for a democrat running against McCrazy, but I would NEVER vote for him. He would have us in a war just to get his name in the news.

Remember that Rudy is the linchpin in The Plan to takeover the Repub party and ditch all us pesty conservatives. Now The Plan to dislodge the conservative GOP power base ignorantly dependens on the false assumption that conservatives are going to roll over and play dead. Fat chance. Repubs cannot---and will not---win without social conservatives. This means Julie-annie.

We have The Plan straight from the horse's mouth, conhead guru Irving Kristol (Fox pundit Billy Kristol's father, who are avid Rudy backers): "The historical task and political purpose of neoconservatism would seem to be.....to convert the Republican Party and American conservatism in general, against their respective wills, into a new kind of conservative politics suitable to governing a modern democracy."

Oh yeah, that idea worked really well elsewhere (/sarc). Luckily, professional help for that dictator fixation of his is available.

Rudy has the wimp factor going against him since he was too scared to face Hillary for the Senate during this last election. He could have at the very least greatly reduced her popularity. If elected, how will he ever deal someone such as Putin?

So far he has also shown himself weak on national security with his support for illegal aliens and recommending Kerik to President Bush that turned into a fiasco.

N-i-i-i-c-e take, Dante.

Course, Rudy's Extreme Makeover is at full throttle-----the wimp/frog is trying to flippity-flop and turn himself into a presidential prince.

Fat chance. Not even in Rudolfo's dreams.

Rudi is acually looking better and better just because of all the other lame prospects. The Dems have no one and the GOP is only one step above that.
