ANTI-Gun zealots lke this one are always INVENTING crisis. All this person has to do is post a sign saying firearms not allowed on premisis. IF people violate this they can be trown out and in some cases prosicuted. I seriously doubt his "Metal detector" threat anyway.

On the surface this conceal carry law is about the same as we have in Ohio. Interesting to see what some of the other rules are. Some counties in Ohio made it almost impossible to get a CC but we just passed laws to correct some of the this crap.

Not to church, school, government offices, hospital, voting places, etc. just like in Texas, I presume.
The restrictions seem SOP for all states with which I am acquainted.
Same for NC - both that our law is roughly the same and that issuance of permits varies from county to county. People talk about "may issue" or "shall issue" counties. I live in Wake county (Raleigh) which is pretty much a "Shall Issue" county. But neighboring Orange County (Peoples Republic of Chapel Hill) is decidely not, or so I'm told.

Sorry, I guess I missed that part of the Second Amendment's 'shall not be infringed' clause. Do you also find a (felon's) right to vote in the Bill of Rights? Or a right to infantcide in the Fourth? Tyranny is the bottom of the slippery slope slid.
The principle is; if we may be properly disbarred a Right then with the bar sufficiently lowered we will all be legally disarmed.

Yes it is. And I wonder if this guy or gal even knows that pro-gun folks will do just this. If anything, people who stand for their right to arms are some of, if not the most, loyal of people to the cause.
So the Declaration of Independence's statement, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." is moot?

I think rights are for smart citizens. For a demotic to lose his First Amendment Right to opine and his discovered right to vote doesn't damage the rights of any one else.

Yeah, sounds similar to FL too. We did get a law passed allowing CC in state parks and forests recently so that helped.
I don't like the school prohibition though, it makes it a pain in the ass to pick up my kids. Oh well I guess I'm lucky that the graceful legislators here in FL allowed me the privilege of protecting myself.
