I agree with your husband...but the Iraqis will also "escort" Saddam to the gallows with the US soldiers...
"Custody" may be just a paper shift, not physical. The players are all in place and will remain. It is unlikely that the US would just take back the shakles and walk away. THe US and Iraqi leaders will not compromise security until this job is done.
