Clarity is needed - you can't just snag a favorite picture from a desktop folder...it has to be hosted someplace to be transferrable to our posts. ~ ErnBatavia

If you're using Firefox try this extension:
http://bbcodextra.extenzilla.org/index.php?lang=eng&sez=1
It will automatically code a lot of the HTML functions. There are others too, but this is the one I prefer (some others have not been updated to Firefox 2.0).

I keep a document on my desktop with samples of useful html codes such as null&void has offered in his post. That way you don't have to memorize anything, just do a little copy and paste. It's very handy.
