Just wondering how long this guy will last .... ok, he's been voted in but it seems he'll be a poster boy for anti-Islamic backlash .. we can now blame his home state for instigating Islamic terror in the gov't ......

Keith Ellison should be charged with treason after his little speech in Dearborn. He thinks Muslims can bring "reform" to America. Reform is just code now for revolution.

I don't know but I sure wish they would all go and go soon. What does scare me is that many of these Muslim converts come from our jails. Religion of peace my rear.

I still don't understand all the fuss and anger of Ellison using the Koran. When he is offically sworn into congress with the other members he will not have his hand on the Koran, and no other member will have their hand on any other holy book.

During his "ceremonial" swearing in, which is nothing more than a photo op he will be using the Koran. And members of congress past have used holy books other than the Bible during this ceremonial photo op and I remember no uproar, outrage, or even a peep about it.

I fail to see how this is going to be the downfall of America as some seem to be claiming.

Let me revise and extend my above remarks.

My above post is ONLY in relation to a person using the koran (or book other than the Bible) in their ceremonial photo op.

It is not in relation to or connected in anyway to a particular person, he ideology, religion, or goals.

Only to the ceremonial photo op.

I dearly hope somebody is going to follow him around and record absolutely everything he says. The truth will out.

If this bum, Keith Ellison, was so proud of being Muslim, why didn't he run for office using his Muslim given name. This just proves to me that the people in his state who elected into office are stupid. American people for the most part have a very short memory. Did they, the citizens who voted for this clown, forget about 9/11 and the thousands of people of died that day?? Did these citizens forget about what our military is trying to do in Iraq?? Did these citizens forget about the be-headings televised from Iraq?? Do these citizens not hear what is coming from murderers like Saddam and other like him??
In my perfect world, there would be no murders, no crimes, no hate. In my perfect world, everyone would get along just to get along. BUT, there is no perfect world. We must go to these countries and stop people like Saddam from murdering thousands of people. We must stop countries like Iran and Syria from supplying arms and weapons to terrorists who not only kill American troops but kill their own, innocent bystanders on the street doing their own thing.
I believe Bush has the right idea but doesn't have the b*alls to stand up against the libs and tell his generals to hell with political correctness. He doesn't have the b@lls to stop the terrorists where they stand and keep them from invading our country. We need, as conservatives and citizens of the US, to stand up and tell our politicians they work for us, not the other way around and do what is right. KEEP THE UNITED STATES SAVE FROM ALL ENEMIES, FORIEGN AND DOMESTIC. Funny, I remember that line from somewhere, too bad the politicians don't do what they are supposed to do.

Believe me, as a Christian, I think I am tolerant of ALL religions.....but, this crap about Islam being the only religion in America makes my blood boil, and my blood pressure go through the roof....why can't these people go to a nice Islamic country, and take their Korans with them and leave us alone.....

I'm a Christian and I'm completely intolerant of Islam. There's nothing Christian about being tolerant of Islam.

I've not been married my whole life so HA! Um, you're not a prostitute that I stiffed in my younger days, are you? I hope not. But if you are I need your address. I'm a decent man now.

I think you are misunderstanding the word "tolerant". It is tolerant to refrain from stringing them up from light poles. Tolerance does not mean that you need to humor them or refrain from informing them that their Prophet, Mad Mo, was a pedophile caravan robber

Yes.

Several Jewish elected officals, from Governors to Reps to Senators have taken their ceremonial and actual oaths on the Tanakh. Including Linda Lingle (Gov. Hawaii), Madeleine Kunin (Gov. Vermont), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (US House), Arthur Goldberg (SCOTUS), and Ed Koch when he was in the US House.

Also, President John Quincy Aadams took his oath using a law volume rather than the Bible.

Phantom Lord,

It's naive to see things as you do against what Ellison says so loudly. He has a mission to teach justice to the Americans. With faith in Allah and support of all the Muslims there, he will strive hard to it. He also seems to have a supernatural tango with Allah and tells the Muslims here that Allah has brought them here with a mission; not just for living an ordinary life like all other immigrants.

BTW, what's that justice America lacks so badly. You must go to Saudi, Pakistan or Iran or to the 7th-century Arabia to have a grasp of it. Of course, it came from Allah which must triump over all people.

He's a politician, he has to speak and take a stand. To the nation and his constituents - all of them.

Let him lie - and go against Mohammed and see how muslims react...

It is permissible for a muslim to lie to a infidel.

And this would make him unusual for a politician ... how?
