The ideological nature of the Iranian regime is guiding it to organize and radicalize all Muslims. To do it, they are willing, able and committed to undercutting the leadership of every nation that has a discernable population of Muslims. Given Saudi Arabia's system of governance, it is ripe for Iranian destabilization. The leadership of these two nations can sing their praises of each other in public but they both know they are heading in opposite geo-political directions. Last year when Ahmadinejad went to Mecca, I read his speech and was amazed at how brazen he was. Iran is on a mission. In an ever widening search for context, I cam to think of who Americans might recognize as the anti-Ahamdinejad. Ahmadinejad's Mecca speech is the bizarroe version of "Mr. Smith goes to Washington". It's "Mr Ahmadinejad goes to Mecca".

Mr. Ahmadinejad goes to Mecca

Mahmood Ahmadinejad: December 8, 2005 "Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces.... Although we don't accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, our question for the Europeans is: Is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem? If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe -- like in Germany, Austria or other countries -- to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe." (While speaking to reporters at an Islamic summit in Mecca)

Mr. Smith goes to Washington

Jefferson Smith: [His voice very hoarse] Just get up off the ground, that's all I ask. Get up there with that lady that's up on top of this Capitol dome, that lady that stands for liberty. Take a look at this country through her eyes if you really want to see something. And you won't just see scenery; you'll see the whole parade of what Man's carved out for himself, after centuries of fighting. Fighting for something better than just jungle law, fighting so's he can stand on his own two feet, free and decent, like he was created, no matter what his race, color, or creed.
