the two Americas............

I suppose he'll be donating some of that to those he claims to represent - the down trodden and the impoverished, RIGHT?

Apparently Edwards is "movin on up" in an attempt to appear Jeffersonian - as in George, not Thomas.

Why is he talking about 2 Americas when he only participates in one of the two? Just a tad hypocritical huh?

$5.2 million for that house doesn't sound out of line.

Former Sen. John Edwards, who on Thursday announced he was running a second time for president, has sold his Georgetown house for $5.2 million. The Washington house had been on the market for since spring 2005. As of last week, the advertised price for the six-bedroom property was $5.6 million.
$400,000 below the recent asking price. The housing bubble is collapsing! The housing bubble is collapsing! Head for the hills. Buy guns, gold and groceries.

I guess suing doctors on behalf of the 'down trodden' really pays off. Where do trial lawyers fit under Edward's Universal Health Care plan?
Silly me, I forgot that according to Edwards medical lawsuits have nothing to do with the "rocketing cost of medical care".

Impossible.
Everyone knows only lilly white Republicans are rich - the democrats told me so.
I'm sure the figure was supposed to be $52,000. Must have been a typo.

There is little that outrages me more than the kind of class warfare Edwards wages. IF he cared so damn much about the "other" America he might have chosen to charge less for his legal services or made more charitable contributions instead of living lavishly.

The price sounds about right. It just his populace rhetoric that sounds suspect.
Listening to his stump speech you would swear he makes $60,000 per year and lives paycheck to paycheck just like all those neglected and forgotten Americans he represents.

You don't understand. Unwashed slobs like you and I making over, say, $40K per year are the rich. We need to be taxed to provide for those making less than $40K.
These rules do not apply to our enlightened political royalty making millions. They have a right to decide these things on our behalf based on their superior intellect, wisdom and caring.
And they have a right to live lavishly because they work so hard caring about us peasants. When John Edwards is talking about two Americas, he is really talking about the enlightened goal of the managerial class. There is supposed to be two Americas-- the enlightened leadership and the sheeple. It's the damn independent middle class which keeps getting in the way, you know the one Marx called the Bourgeoisie?
