Woodward was there at his bedside when he died.

"I hear Woodward just talked to Ford an hour ago."
Didn't he claim he interviewed CIA Head Casey when he was in a coma? Hillary must have given him lessons on how to channel the dearly departed.

No joke. Woodward was just waiting until there was only a dead man to respond to whatever lies he spins.

He's a regular "Ghost Whisper." I understand he's planning to write a book about his secret interview with Abe Lincoln next.

Woodward the phony. He is so stuck on his narcissism he only sees and writes what he believes to be true and not what is true.
He became rich and famous taking notes from a disgruntled office seeeker-Mark Feldt--who didn't make it to the top of the FBI. Called him "deep throat" and created an aura for a tawdry man.
If Feldt had been an honest person he would have resigned if he could not remain loyal. What a travesty and what a joke he Woodward and Bernstein maintained for decades.
Woodward is notorious for giving verbatim dialog where none is possible. Think a dead Mr. Casey. Then think if you could record word for word without notes that someone said months, let alone years, ago.
He belongs with the Washington Post, Donald Graham, Warren Buffet and Melinda Gates as wannabe power players who have succeeded but now are about the fail big time. Woodward is going to dance on President Ford's grave and reputation to make a few more $ and a little more fame. I guess Watergate no longer pays.

oodward told the audience the pardon came as a surprise. The Washington Post reporter, then 31, was in a New York City hotel room when his Watergate colleague Carl Bernstein called him. "The son of a bitch pardoned the son of a bitch," Bernstein told him. This from a slug (Bernstein) whose parents were members of the Communist Party.

If it isn't taped I don't believe this bastard. I'm sure he wouldn't coax a senile old man.
