Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry
Limits
I followed the three Kittens on a journey Outside
That traveled a path much more narrow than wide
Leaping out of and into this soft and fleecy cold stuff
Until we all decided that we had had enough
We found the wide base of a tree and then began to huddle
Gathering our thoughts as the Kittens curled, stretched and cuddled
To wonder just how far we had romped and played and rambled
And if we should go back, which might have been a gamble
So we hunkered down to catch our breath and rest
Waiting until we were refreshed to decide what would be best
When we all heard the sounds of Our Humans on the go
Moving easily thought this cold, deep stuff called "Snow"
The Kittens went between The Big One's chest and jacket, thick and wide
While I wound up on The Pretty One's shoulder for a ride
Back Home where it's warm and always safe to stay
We'll all be a bit wiser the next time we go Outside to play
