Very sad news to read. May the Lord Almighty embrace his family and loved ones, and comfort them in the days ahead.

No, I'm not implying anything other than that they were friends and Peter will be sad to hear the news when he wakes up on the East Coast in the morning.
Rest in peace, Mr. President.

I still wonder if Ford had beaten Carter in 76, would Reagan ever have gotten to be President.I've wondered that too and doubt it. But if Mr. Ford had won perhaps Reagan would not have been as necessary as he was.
I'm thankful we had both as Presidents, regardless.

He was the veto King. He vetoed everything. And very few of them were overridden.

President Gerald Ford did the right thing by pardoning Richard Nixon from Watergate. Yeah, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to carry out his duties; it would have been Watergate 24/7.

Ford was also the last living member of The Warren Commission. Wonder if he set anything aside.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. This was my first Christmas without a grandparent to call. They were from a special era.

RIP.
President Ford took office under very difficult circumstances and handled the job with guts and dignity.
