Chairman Mo, George Soros flunk on Chery Chery

By Judi McLeod

Tuesday, December 26, 2006

2007’s getting off to a gloomy start for partners Maurice Strong and George Soros.

The deadly duo, who had big plans to flood the American market with as many as 250,000 cheap Chinese-made Chery cars in 2007 are instead facing Chery worldwide recall.

You’d never know it from the mainstream media, but Strong and Soros, who formed the `Partnership from Hell’, are already on thin ice in the auto industry.

We need someone with photoshop that could superimpose a tricycle hitting the Chery automobile broadside.

Sorry, it wasn't a crossover, it was the Dodge Hornet, a subcompact, even smaller than the Dodge Caliber. http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2006-09-25-chrysler-small-cars_x.htm . The Hornet would go for about $10,000.

Isn't Maurice Strong some kind of big wig with The Nature Conservancy? The TNC is the largest land owner in the world.

"Isn't Maurice Strong some kind of big wig with The Nature Conservancy? The TNC is the largest land owner in the world."

I think Soros has his (mostly hidden) thumb in that TNC pie also.

The TNC is a big threat in the USA that are empowered by the eco-twits and the RATS. They are gaining control over state and federal lands under the guise of protecting the environment but mostly they are looking to control natural resources.

You need to read with a more critical eye. This article is a biased hit piece which may or may not be true.

2007’s getting off to a gloomy start for partners Maurice Strong and George Soros.

The deadly (deadly duo ?) duo, who had big plans to flood the American market with as many as 250,000 cheap Chinese-made Chery cars in 2007 are instead facing Chery worldwide recall.

You’d never know it from the mainstream media, but Strong and Soros, who formed the `Partnership from Hell’, are already on thin ice in the auto industry.

“Chery Automobile Co. Ltd., one of China’s largest own-brand car makers, announced its first recall (this is the first recall ?, other car makers should be so lucky ) of products worldwide days ago.” (stocknews.com.cn, Dec. 22, 2006). “It’s the first time for a Chinese own-brand automaker to recall its vehicles globally as the products to be recalled involving (sic) those sold to overseas markets.”

Strong and Soros had big plans for the Chery in North America starting in 2007. They were going to flood the market and decimate Ford, Chrysler and General Motors.

Both bitter (BITTER ?)septuagenarians are proponents for the One World Order-promoting United Nations.

The Canadian born Strong, who all but disappeared from the world stage after his alleged links to the UN Oil-for-Food scandal became public knowledge in 2005, has since been carping against the United States from the safety of Chinese soil. (OIL FOR FOOD IS IRRELEVANT TO THE RECALL)

Soros is still railing against the presence of George W. Bush in the White House. After blowing $23 million to keep Bush from returning to the Oval Office, Soros told reporters in 2004, if Bush were to be re-elected, he planned to go away to “some kind of monastery to reflect on what is wrong with us.” (BUSH IRRELEVANT TOO)

But now these anti-US blowhards (YEP, NO BIAS HERE, ANTI US BLOWHARDS INDEED) will be ringing in the New Year with embarrassing business headaches.

Wuhu-based Chery has submitted its recall report to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ).

Chery said in the report that it would recall 1,875 Triggos with auto transmission, produced during the period from March 27 to October 25 this year, as of December 20, 2006 until March 31, 2007, due to a faulty wire in the front cover.

And that’s not Chery’s first recall.

The Chinese carmaker’s Oriental son models, produced between July 14, 2003 and May 6, 2005 are on recall—making it the first such action by a Chinese sedan brand in China.

“Qin Lihong, vice general manager of Chery’s marketing company, said in an interview on Nov. 20 that Chery has made full preparation and guarantees sufficient supply of components and parts for this move which will begin as of Nov. 26.” (People’s Daily Online, Nov. 21, 2005). “The national quality watchdog issued its annual report on the implementation of regulations on recall of defected automobiles recently. Since t he regulations were promulgated in March last year, 29 such actions have been initiated by 21 Chinese and foreign auto makers by September this year, involving 33 models and 339,696 units recalled. Chery’s recall this time, although prompted by a minor defect on the vanity mirror of the sun visor, is the first of such moves by an indigenous brand.”

"The final assembly quality control is non-existant."

It's an axiom that you can't inspect quality into a product. Coming from the engineering side, I know quality has to be built in as you go. A worldwide recall suggests a vehicle that's bad to the bone.

Since 9/11, Tides has strongly supported the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) and the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), both of which advocate, among other things, the loosening of immigration laws and the weakening of national security measures relating to border control. Tides also set up the Iraq Peace Fund, which has granted money to such groups as MoveOn.org, the National Council of Churches, the Arab-American Action Network, Physicians for Social Responsibility, and the pro-Castro groups United for Peace and Justice and the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR).

Immediately after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Tides formed a "9/11 Fund" to advocate a "peaceful national response" to al Qaeda's act of war. The Tides Foundation later replaced the 9/11 Fund with the "Democratic Justice Fund," which was funded in large measure by the Open Society Institute of George Soros, who has donated more than $7 million to Tides over the years.

Some of the major foundations that give donor-advised funds to Tides are the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation; the Annie E. Casey Foundation; the Arca Foundation; the AT&T Foundation; the Barbra Streisand Foundation; the Bauman Family Foundation; Ben and Jerry's Foundation; the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; the Blue Moon Fund; the Bullitt Foundation; the CarEth Foundation; the Carnegie Corporation of New York; Changemakers; the ChevronTexaco Foundation; the Columbia Foundation; the David and Lucile Packard Foundation; the Energy Foundation; the Fannie Mae Foundation; the Ford Foundation; the Foundation for Deep Ecology; the Geraldine R. "It's an axiom that you can't inspect quality into a product."

I can't speak specifically for their cars, but I can speak for the motorcycle/scooter industry in China. The assembly is very labor intensive. Most of the bolts are installed by hand and are not torqued. Wires and hoses have a very good chance of either hanging loose or being hooked to the wrong place.

The Chinese scooters are often poorly made clones of Japanese or Tiawanese models, without permission of the original designers. The parts network in the US is pitiful. Some models are just plain bad. Most of the 250cc water-cooled models are so poorly designed that they overheat continuously. A large percentage of them are not DOT or EPA approved in the US.

In general, if you take a new Chicom scooter apart and put it back together with proper torques and assembly, you get a mediocre result that will work, but is substandard when compared with Japanese models.

If the cars are anything like the scooters, run away.

Funding Terror Foundationally
By David Hogberg
Published 2/25/2005 12:07:12 AM

It appears the George Soros's charitable giving goes a little beyond trying to defeat President Bush. Last week, Byron York of National Review revealed that in September 2002 the Soros-funded Open Society Institute (OSI) gave $20,000 to the Lynne Stewart Defense Committee.

Lynne Stewart, you will recall, is the radical lawyer who was recently convicted of aiding one of her clients, Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman. Also known as the "Blind Sheik," Rahman was sentenced in 1996 to life imprisonment for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. After Rahman's conviction, his terrorist organization, Islamic Group, threatened to attack targets in the United States unless he was released. In response, the U.S. Government forbad Rahman from communicating with his Islamic Group henchmen. He was allowed to communicate only with his spouse and attorneys, who also were forbidden to communicate Rahman's dictates to Islamic Group. Lynne Stewart ignored the prohibition.
