What? That I see it foolish to spend $4 on something that needs syrup and cream to cut the rancid taste?

I can buy enough Folgers to last me a month for the same $4

Sorry my preference in coffee offends you so much.

"rancid taste"

Exactly. You can tell how good a coffee is by drinking a straight shot of espresso. If it is bitter or rancid or burnt the beans are bunk.

A good bean has a strong taste that is more of an aroma than a taste. A hint of chocolate, smoky but not burnt. Kinda like a next door neighbor to molasses. It expands your senses, not assaults them.

I just love the red plastic containers Folgers comes in now. At first I didn't, but the handle is helpful, and my wife has found a use for every empty. Everywhere you go, we have something stored in a red plastic container. I'm waiting to see if she can figure out how to cover the logo...

I don't know what you're drinking but it isn't Starbucks coffee. And I can't imagine where you get the idea that a cup of coffee at Starbucks costs four dollars.
I think you just like to piss and moan because it reflects your personality.
