I do like the photos of your bakery, and I think I want one of each item in its window!

Hi snugs. But like me, you can look forward to 10 days off. The kittens have already hidden or misplaced the two balls that were in your gifts to them.

I have no idea where they are, but part of my time off will be used to hunt for toys the kittens have made vanish in my two months in this house. One is presently lying by my left arm, and other by my right arm. It's just about feeding time, and they don't let me forget it. :)

Even though this house is also a two-bedroom like the one I moved from, this is a much bigger place. So all the animals have more room and freedom. I even let Ricky loose while the cats are out and about in the whole house. This is a big deal to him. Ricky half-heartedly chase them, and they look at him like he's nuts. The kittens have never learned fear of dogs, or much of anything else for that matter.

I think we have a first time toaster winner tonight, snugs.

I think haircutter hasn't won a toaster before tonight.

I am so happy for her.

Hey kitkat. Sorry I don't know how to post a working link, but this place has them for less. Don't know how much you want to spend but these are far less than $600.

We solved the wrapping problem with gift bags, and we reuse them. Even DH can do that. A little tissue paper stuffed in, and you're done.

But DH usually gets me presents and doesn't wrap them. It's the thought that counts.

I was sick for the most part of two years and DH brought me fresh flowers every week. The love is there.

I've been off work since Tuesday, for two weeks. The computers were down at work so I used some vacation time instead of hunting for projects to do.
Spent one day at the dentist, one day with genealogy research, and I'm cooking and baking for a party Sunday night.
My family is doing our gift exchange tomorrow.
And there are some special cookies that I'm trying to get done.

I feel like I'm running around and getting very little done.

I take bloodthinners, and ended up with a bad bruise in my gums after the dental work, because of the bloodthinners. I should cut them off two days before going to the dentist, but I forgot. I'm having all my old fillings replaced.

I do not know if more bad things do happen at Christmas or if it just seems that way but certainly in our family people seem to have serius illnesses or deaths at Christmas and Easter.

Thank you, Onyx. I think choosing a soldier's photo for POTD made a lot of sense. I always get teary when we see pictures of GWB and Laura at Walter Reed. I just can't imagine how they feel--knowing that in large part due to GWB's decisions, these brave soldiers have been wounded. Wow. What a weight to bear--even if, as we hear over and over that the soldiers say they would do it all over again and they believe in their mission. It must be incredibly emotionally draining.

I love the pics of GWB wrapping the presents with the children. Just adorable!

Thank you for your work. We are visiting our families for Christmas, so I haven't been here for a few days.
