CHP, LA County Sheriffs, all responding.....2 officers shot at Long Beach Blvd and 6th street in Long Beach...suspect had a lot of tattoos
Why did that need clarification?
suspect had a lot of tattoos
Now that really narrows it down
Nothing about Hispanic Male or any other thing. A lot of people still think "Ew a tattoo, prison or gang"
I know. All of my tattoos are art. Multi colored, very well done and reflect life, magic, love. No hates "toos" and I have to wear long sleeved shirts when around people who think all tats are gangster/prison related
You can on me to ping you, in this instance and others.
I always think of others... oh, heck, I'm just plain wonderful!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Warner and Main? Damn--that's maybe 3 miles (or less) from where I used to live (just off Warner between Newhope and Harbor in Fountain Valley).
There are NO "safe" areas in SoCal anymore.
BTW--OC Register has it now...

Police kill officer-shooting suspect
Man fitting Long Beach police shooter's description killed in Santa Ana. Officials wait for positive identification.
By CINDY CARCAMO
The Orange County Register
SANTA ANA A police shootout Wednesday resulted in the death of a man believed to be the suspect who wounded two Long Beach officers during a traffic stop last week.
Coroner's officials hadn't made a positive identification on the man as of late Wednesday, but Santa Ana officers believe they killed Oscar Gabriel Gallegos at 5:10 pm. in the 200 block of East Warner Avenue, Santa Ana Police Department Sgt. Lorenzo Carrillo said.
Police also had detained a second unidentified man for questioning Wednesday night.
"We don't know the extent of his involvement," Carrillo said.
Police said Gallegos, sought in a statewide manhunt, is a career criminal who has been deported to Mexico at least once.
The manhunt began Friday when Long Beach police said Gallegos walked up to a patrol car and opened fire on Abram Yap and Roy Wade Jr. after they pulled him over about 1:20 p.m. near Long Beach Boulevard and Sixth Street for running a red light.
Yap, a Fountain Valley High School graduate, remains in critical condition.
Wade, a rookie who graduated from the police academy just three weeks ago, was shot multiple times in the upper chest and neck. He remains in critical condition but stable.
Long Beach tracked down a man they believed to be Gallegos in Santa Ana and notified Santa Ana police Wednesday that they'd be keeping him under surveillance. Officers said the suspect was a passenger in a Toyota Camry driven by another man.
Amen to that. How true, how true.
That used to be true but I suppose that thinking will have to change, considering how popular tattoos are right now.
I'm not a fan but there are many respectable folks that sport them.
I always say that if I were 20 right now I'd seriously pursue the discovery of better methods of tattoo removal. I think I'd be a billionaire in a decade or two.
My hubby and I were just talking about the idea of something that could be semipermanent. We no sooner joked about it than he heard they have come up with some tattoo that can be removed with one laser treatment. I don't have any other info but it sounds promising.
There is a "Cherry Laser" that can remove them however the last time I priced it the cost was 300.00 per square inch.
I personally wish I had never gotten the first one. I married a girl who knew I had tattoos but we had never been to bed together and the night we got married she stayed awake all night in shock.
When I woke up she was marveling at Merlin. Total back, Merlin in front of his castle, holding a crystal ball while the world unfolds from it awesome detail but I have to settle for the mirror.
When we were looking into laser removal she asked the Doctor "Can you put him on a conveyor and just run him through or is there more to it" LOL
I also hear there is a cream now that will do it but I would hate to try it and find it only discolors it etc.
People have no idea what they go through daily to transport from the jail to court (can't mix gang members you know)... much less prisoners they have to transport elsewhere in the state. I think he will be very happy to finally retire this year.
I caught the tail end of the report last night on KTLA 5... I turned it on this morning and not one word, the whole hour I watched, about this shooting. I know that intersection of Warner and Main in Santa Ana, it's a pretty busy spot, he must have known they were watching him.
That's disgusting. I never knew that...but it makes sense. I DO have a non-pc-solution...but I'll be nice.
We'll pray him through this next year, OK?
Yes, they have to chart who goes on which bus to which court and at what time so the judges don't get angry because they hold them up. I had no clue either. Not to mention, what some of these criminals try and pull during, before and after transport.
Buh-Bye, Scumbucket Gallegos!
I love happy endings.
LOL!!!!! If you don't toot your own horn, who will?
Steve Cooley announced at a press conference this afternoon that "we can state conclusively that Gallegos is the one" who was shot in Santa Ana last night.
Chief Batts reports that the two wounded officers remain in stable condition.
The CBS2 reporter just stated that Gallegos "had been deported back to Mexico at least THREE TIMES."
Sorry I missed the live version of this press conference, if indeed it was broadcast live...
Now it's time for a WOO HOO!!!
