By ROXANA HEGEMAN Associated Press Writer WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas' attorney general, a vocal abortion opponent, charged a well-known abortion provider with illegally performing late-term abortions and failing to report his justifications to the state.
Most of the 30 misdemeanor counts against Dr. George Tiller involve abortions performed on patients 17 or younger, including a 10-year-old, according to the criminal complaint unsealed Friday in Sedgwick County District Court.

Misdemeanor charges? Hardly seems worth the effort. What is the worst that could happen to Tiller? A slap on the wrist?
The headline appears to tell me that a tiller (used for working the ground up before planting) was charged with killing someone(thing). I thought maybe it was a relative to the shredder in "Fargo". Thank goodness I read the article!
Crimes are usually said to be "committed", not "performed".

A good guy who gets ripped apart on this forum for no reason.
Tiller kills viable babies for money. Babies who often would survive if taken to a hospital, rather than be debrained in a clinic. How is that not murder by anyone's definition, no matter where they stand on abortion in general?
If anyone deserves to burn in Hell, it is him.

I couldn't see how it could get any worse than sucking a baby's brains out, but sometimes during saline abortions (when they inject the baby with poisonous saline solution that suffocates and burns it) the baby is born alive and the nurses just leave it there to die, struggling to live. That's way there was a law passed some years ago called the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act. However, some Democrats still opposed the bill! NARAL came out with a press release against it. It's absolutely sickening that they can support this infanticide - because that's what it is.
