"No one will go see this movie."

If you mean that it won't be a blockbuster then you are correct. But the movie will do fine at the box office.

As for myself I'm not a "America-hating lib" and I would be interested in seeing it. I saw Tora-Tora-Tora and it didn't exactly blind me to Japanese atrocities during WWII.

lol - No offense.

I should clarify - it probably won't do nearly as well as Flags [and I wonder if they'll screen this one in front of American Iwo vets] but I'm sure it will be a dramatic movie and people will see it b/c of critic's raves. Also, someone on another thread mentioned Das Boot and it was entirely from the German point of view - but that doesn't mean pro-German. Now that I have actually THOUGHT about it, I rescind my knee-jerk comment.

I'm curious: Tora, Tora, Tora? Do you mean that it had a pro-Japanese theme? I seem to remember scenes of angst among some of the planners of the attack, I think.
