Most Republicans are conservative, and most of those conservative Republicans are social conservatives. That is the GOP base. That is the contingent of voters within the GOP that ALL party candidates are trying to please.

Winning the most votes is the ultimate goal, but not if it means totally selling out your principles. So far, I don't have a major problem with any of the "possible" candidates on the GOP side. Except for one. Rudy Giuliani not being a conservative by any stretch of the imagination, will be fighting an uphill battle. He offers conservatives nothing. I believe his candidacy for the GOP nomination is DOA!

You really ARE delusional beyond my worst fears about you.

Yeah, that's the ticket....let's keep nominating THE most, over the edge of the cliff's righty, whom even the vast majority of the BASE won't want to vote for. Being OUT OF POWER, into perpetuity, is the surest way to further the Conservative Movement. ROTFLOL

Then why are you spending so much time attacking him? I'm throwing the BS flag on your comment. You know too much about politics to convince us that you actually believe Rudy's candidacy is DOA. C'mon.
