17 yr old Loses Testical in Turkish Hospital Due to Shari'a

A 17 year old youth was admitted to a hospital with extreme pain and swelling in the groin. When sent for an ultrasound, a veiled woman radiologist Dr. K. Aribag refused to administer the test and told the patient to return the next day. The young man was disappointed for a second time when the second doctor turned out to be another veiled female doctor who also refused to treat him, due to the Islamic ban on touching a man's body. Finally, after the Chief Physician was involved and a male radiologist was found, the young man underwent an emergency surgery, but lost a testical due to the delays.

If you knew anything about Turkey you would know that the women aren't allowed to wear veils if they want to work or go to school. The ones that actually do wear the veils are prostitutes. They try to look 'religious' when they aren't at all.

The headline of this post is a bit confusing - Turkey does not have Sharia law, which this title implies. The originial headline from the MEMRI blog is "17 yr old Loses Testical in Turkish Hospital Due to Islamist Doctors" - not "Sharia."

According to public opinion polls, about 90% of Turks are opposed to imposing Sharia law. Hopefully the hospital will fire the two female doctors who are incapable of doing their job properly.
