Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry


Early Morning Rounds





Paddling through Hallways velvet and black
Noting things to either ignore or attack
While rubbing slowly against My Humans' Bed Post
Listening to the resonant snoring of my Host

As I climb up the thick, smooth comforter without a sound
Then stand on The Big One's chest as it goes up and down
A few small steps to the left, I spy a deep and most inviting cleft
Between The Pretty One's curves and her mate's solid, muscular heft

A few moments spent with eyes closed, making sure all things are right
Before continuing my rounds throughout the Moon less night
The Pretty Little One sleeps while hugging her Teddy Bear
Lost in dreams swirling and innocent, without a care

Then down the Hall and soft steps with time left to spend
On a final check on the downstairs Kitchen, Big Room and book lined Den
I wend my way back to The Big Long Chair and its soft and cozy mound
Where I first hear then feel Mother cuddle close after a long, fluid bound

At the winery, I went out on patio for my wine. The view is breathtaking.. large gentle drop to the Wolfe Creek (which ia a large river actually ..think it must be partially damned. There are prolly 20 acres of rolling land & then the vineyards.. great view. As I was sitting, I heard a "rumbling" in my bag .. I had bought some "extras' " at the winery..

The winery cat was in my bag.. I did take some pix.. might post if I download etc..Still a while to go until I leave for evening
