It was a day for bill signing as the president signed S. 843, the Combating Autism Act of 2006; S. 3678, the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act; and H.R. 6143, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006.

VP Cheney is to be a defense witness (for Lewis Libby) in the Valerie Plane case.

I love it fresh-cooked (asparagus).

What do you think of artichokes, say, steamed and then dipped in butter?

Oh yes! My mother always had artichoke plants in our yard. I love artichokes! Steamed or cooked in a pressure cooker --- I personally like to dip the leaves in mayonaise, but I like them with butter too.

I would gobble up the mashed potatoes & lick the dish.. (the liver would go to dogs/cats)... sorry, this is me. (well, as a vegetarian, it is obvious..but when I did eat meat, I even gagged when I cooked the liver for my cats!)

I have not tried cooking butter only steaming and then adding a little butter afterwards when it was on the plate, I am afraid I am not very adventurous with veg

And, Evening in Paris -

====
We Found It: Evening in Paris Is Back!

From the daring decade of the 1920s-think glittering nightlife, flapper fashion, the heady perfume of luxury-came the fragrance Soir de Paris, or Evening in Paris as we knew it here. By the 1950s, it was touted as "the fragrance more women wear than any other in the world," yet by 1969 it had disappeared. Your many letters of request sent us searching, and we're proud now to offer this classic.
Features:

First time available in U.S. since 1969
Classic rich floral eau de parfum blended to slightly woody base
1.6 oz. glass spray bottle
"The Most Famous Fragrance in the World" is back again, as evocative as ever.

====
Sigh - We wore it in 1964-65. It was on it's way out.

Love the sound of the patties or burgers but not sure of the sauce I think I would probably go for just ordinary gravy not the BBQ sauce type.
