A very appropriately named website for hosting Rick Warren articles. Hot Air.

Rick! Jesus said, "Go ye forth and preach this Gospel to all the world", not "Go ye forth and kiss Assad's butt".

E.J. Dionne should be shot for his comment, "I think what you’re seeing with Rick Warren is almost a new version, a 2006 version, of Billy Graham."

What an idiot.

Regarding Obama, Rick Warren has at least been consistent. He said nice things about Obama before and after the AIDS conference. Regarding his trips to North Korea and Syria, which I consider to be the more serious issues, Warren contradicts himself and may be lying about why he goes to those countries and what he does while he’s there

So far, I have'nt heard the "He is just being all things to all people so that by all means he might save some" defense.

And I really liked the author correctly pointing out what happens to real evangelists in North Korea as opposed to RW's photo - op of "watered down gospel". Watering down the gospel is like tagging the ceiling of the Cistine Chapel.

Since my last posts about Warren, I’ve gotten a few emails from people who attend his church. One or two of them asked me not to continue writing about Warren, because it amounts to airing the church’s dirty laundry in public.

Pretty funny, considering Warren is one of the most public figures around. If you lavish praise upon a regime (Assad/Syria) that supports a terrorist organization (Hezbollah) that is responsible the the murder of thousands of Israelis and Americans then you're begging for trouble.

Any truth to the rumor that next Rick Warren will have Tara OConner as a guest on the values of rehab once she gets out of rehab? Just kidding!

Christians who pray have known this man was not what he claimed to be. The Word warns us of such people. Warren is insane if he truly believes Obama is the answer. Obama is a Muslim. I don't care what Obama proclaims or what he acts on...in his heart he is a Muslim.

Instead of doing photo-ops with dictators Warren should take his mega-church millions and open missions and go and stay in Syria, Iran and North Korea and preach Christ crucified then I will take him seriously.

All the other stuff is just noise to get attention and of course money.

Offering oneself up as First Prize in a magazine contest makes the claim of being a private citizen seem pretty silly.

What part of "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers" does this clown NOT understand? Christians do not ally themselves with unbelievers, no matter how "nice" we think they may be, nor how powerful they are, nor how much else we think we may gain thereby. He has opened his pulpit to a servant of the devil. What a fool!

>>But I have a basic message that says you were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life isn’t going to make sense.<<

THAT'S what the Gospel message is, according to Warren?

Good grief, how much more tepid can you get?

I've always wondered why CNN and other talk/news shows always have these theological heretics & lightweights on their shows; and not guys like Packer or Sproul.

Now I know.

The Gospel is foolish to the nonbeliever

Warren is a fool to this believer.

Actually, Warren will come up with some abstract translation and tell you that your verse means something totally different. LOL!

Very true. You've read his books too - I can tell. He comes up with some of the most off-the-wall translations and twists them in ways that are truly baffling.
